Chapter 56

Nora's POV
I didn't feel like going to work today so I just watched movies and read my novels till it was time to meet William and bob my constructor.

I got dressed in a blue high waisted jean trouser a white turtled neck top with a black jean jacket on top and paired it with black ankle boots.

I left my hair to loose applied gloss and mascara grabbed my purse and I was good to go.

I opened my penthouse door to find Damien's fiancée Chelsea leaning by the elevator. When she saw she pushed herself off the wall and approached me.

"Good morning" she said with a cheerful smile I couldn't help but see it as a fake.

"Morning" I mumbled pressing the elevator button.

"I felt kind of bad about the coffee I spilled on your hand how is it" she asked trying to reach for my hand but I quickly hid it behind my back.

"It's fine" I said cursing the elevator in my head for taking so long.

"How about I make it up to you I'll take you out for lunch my treat" she asked hopefully.

"I'm sorry but I'm kind of busy right now" I said keeping my gaze at the elevator door.

"Oh maybe we can do it some other time" she said making me tick my jaw in annoyance. Why is she so dense.

The elevator door dinged open and I rushed in doing a victory dance and thanking whoever was watching me in my head.

"Sure" I said with a fake smile and the elevator close. "And I hope that day never comes" I muttered to myself and leaned my forehead on the elevator door.

I got off the elevator and made my way through the lobby to find William already there. We gave each other a hug and made our way to the water fall as bob was already there awaiting our arrival.

I couldn't help but gasp at the beautiful land in front of me totally forgetting about the presence of the two around me.

"Good day Miss Evans" Bob said politely snapping back to reality.

"Good day bob" I said patting his shoulder encouragingly.

"Here it is what do you think?" He asked stopping by the cliff.

"It's amazing let's build like a two story building the first floor is like a venue while the second floor is going to be like a really fancy restaurant where the reception's gonna take place or something like that" I said thinking.

"It will be for event purpose only what do you think" I said glancing at bob and William.

"Not bad, can it be done." William asked with a smile.

"Yes but we'll need to see if this cliff is stable enough to be built on top. If it's not we'll do the building farther back a little while here can be used for site seeing" he said scribbling on his notepad.

"So when can you get back to us?" I asked taking a look around the cliff.

"But next week Miss Evans" he said respectively.

"Okay good luck and I'll see you then" I said giving him a handshake and walking away with William.

"Can you put like a do not cross type of sign around here till the waterfall is declared safe I don't want anyone getting hurt" I asked to which William replied to with a nod pulled his phone out do his pocket and made a phone call.

"So how was the lunch yesterday?" He asked after walking for sometime in silence.

"It was good I guess" I said going through the emails on my phone.

"It was good" he asked giving me a look.

"What" I asked confused.

"His fiancée didn't go all bitch on you or laser you bald with her glare" William asked confused making me chuckle.

"No she didn't do anything like that except for her fake smile nothing was wrong" I said nodding at the staffs that greeted me as I passed by.

" Where are you going?" William asked when I walked straight pass the hotel towards the entrance.

"I need to get a manicure my nails look horrible" I said raising my nails a little so he could see it.

"I'm bored so I'll come with you" he said catching up to me. My Audi S8 was stopped in front of me. William being the gentleman he is opened the door for me to get in. He closed the door behind me took the keys dismissing the driver hopped into the drivers seat and drove off.

William turned on the radio as Cardi B up blared through the speakers. I sighed as William squealed in excitement.

"Once upon a time and I heard that I was ugly came from a bitch who nigga wanna fuck on me" William screamed the lyrics at the top of his lungs making me roll my eyes at him.

"Said my face balm. Ass tight. Racks stack up shaq height Jewelry on me flashlight have I been lit since last night.

"Broke boys don't deserve no pussy. I know that's right." I sang making William smirk victoriously.

"I'm rubbing off on you" he said happily.

"Oh shut up" I said rolling my eyes playfully as he continued singing while I hummed the lyrics till we got to the mall.

William parked the car got out of his seat turned to my side and opened my door for me.

"Milady" he said bowing dramatically making me giggle.

After locking the car he dragged me off to different stores. We bought different clothes and shoes I'm sure I wasn't ever going to wear before we finally stopped at the nails and hair salon.

"Good day ma'am" one of the attendants came to receive us.

"Good day I would like to get my nails done" I said looking around the store.

"Right this way ma'am" the lady said and took me to a section of the store for nails.

I took a seat and waited for the attendant to come back while William looked at nail designs.

"Oh my god hi"An excited voice that's engraved in my head said as she came into view along with the last person I wanted to see right now.
