Chapter 21: Excelsior!

After Rin Maurus had finished less than half a second later most every player started yelling and cursing.

"How could you, you can't do this to us!"

"Release us now, you have no right to do this!"

"Why are you doing this!?"

They were furious, and rightly so. The noise coming from amongst the crowd was almost deafening.

Rin Maurus outstretched his hands, speaking to the crowd of players.

"I gave you all a chance to leave, you all accepted this; this entire event was stated as such in the agreement you signed. There is no way out, save for finding the exit, your salvation. Now players go forth and remember stay alive and survive. Good luck and Excelsior!"

With those final words the avatar of Rin Maurus bowed deeply. The tiny sprites that made up his Avatar split apart, moved through the crowd into the surrounding forest disappearing beyond sight.

The crowd remained silent for a few moments. Perhaps we all thought something else would happen, that it would all be a dream and we would all suddenly wake up.
