Chapter 198: Boss - Kulu of the Pyre Forest III

We continued to fight the boss as before, one of us drawing the attacks while the other recovered and then went on the offensive.

The boss dove in, attacking me with its talons, feverishly trying to strike me down.

Without warning the boss backed off and started chanting again. A few seconds later the boss threw its hands down summoning those phantom-like creatures. We ran trying to dodge the creatures, a few hit both Xuelian and me. Each hit increased our «insight».

Desperately I swung at them hoping something would happen. To my surprise after two attacks, they broke apart. Yet the most surprising thing was when they disappeared my «insight» actually went down.

Back in the base game, during quests or dungeons where «insight» was a mechanic used, «insight» and «insanity» management was key to victory. Often times using specific items or defeating key monsters could lower ones «insight» thus lowering the risk of «wiping» due to «insanity».

"Xuelian, attack the phantoms. They'll lower your «insight»!" I called out to Xuelian.

"Got it!" she replied back.
