Chapter 137: The Breaking Point

Over the next two week it was just as Xuelian had said; we had become proficient with our classes and teamwork. We had gained several levels.

My skill and accuracy with the bow improved; most of my shots now landed squarely on the target.

Every new level a player gains causes them to gain «health», «stamina», and «mana capacity», and every couple of levels would improve other stats.

Xuelian likewise had immediate improvements in her damage output and coordination. It wasn't long before she was able to string together punches and kicks with speed, power, and efficiency.

At the end week we had both hit level ten. We had collected a large amount of monster drops and we're off to sell them to Cyrus.

On the way into town, we had noticed something off-putting. Many players were engaged with other players in the town having serious conversations. Most of the players were shouting or trying to coerce other players.

We saw many players attempting to recruit other into parties or negotiate unfair deals with merchants or vice versa; some were even trying to take advantage of the few female players.
