Chapter 35: Death and Revival

In the next moment I jolted awake. Perhaps by my own will to survive that I awoke, even though that chance had passed.

My hand was on my forehead I looked at the counter in the corner of my screen the flame that was there before was gone, and instead of reading 300s it read 285s.

I had to accept it I had died and pitifully. Yet I couldn't wallow in defeat I had to stand. Now I had experienced death and defeat, and I would have to work hard to avoid it again.

I stood to my feet nearby a bright Crystal hummed beautifully as it floated over a small pool of crystal-clear water.

Moving forward I would try once more; except this time, I would run directly passed the boss.

Just before I stepped out into the clearing, I heard a voice.
