Chapter 190: Insightful

Xuelian laid down on the ground breathing heavily. I approached her. She looked up and smiled.

"You okay?" I asked stretching out my hand.

"Yeah," she replied, taking hold of my hand.

"You ready to head back?" I said pulling Xuelian to her feet.

"Yeah," she smiled at me.

With that we made our way back to the crystal spring. We had decided to rest and head back out after a light meal. I was taking a bite from one of my rations when Xuelian turned to me.

"Tsubasa."

"Yes?"

"Did you notice it?" she asked.

"Notice what?"

"In the «H.U.D.»"

"The «H.U.D.»?... Is that-!?" my eyes went wide

"Yeah, «insight»," she replied with a grin.

«Insight» is a special «stat» that affects different systems throughout the entire game. «Insight» is gained when the players see something that the game designates as otherworldly or supernatural. It's tied to some classes and items, but mostly affects the game's «overworld».

Depending on the amount of «insight» the player has different objects and paths can appear or disappear. It can even affect the ability to see different objects.

«Insight's» most prominent effect was on «insanity».
