I gave the signal. We threw our paralysis knives at nearly the same time. They each landed and we each followed up with another throw paralyzing the [kobold].

We then threw our poison knives; the poison and paralysis took hold. This was going better than I thought.

Until the paralysis wore off, then it was another story.

The kobold cast a spell that cured it's poison and took off like a bat out of hell.

The two of us chased it around throwing knives at it, the first few of which simply whizzed by it as it ducked, dived, dodged, and dipped out of the way.

We then switched to cornering the kobold and throwing the knives at nearly the same time paralyzing then poisoning the beast.

This worked at first, that was until it healed off seventy percent of all the damage.

"Damn it, it can heal," I clicked my tongue, "we'll just have to keep going. I've gotten more knives of each what about you?"

"I have twelve of each, yes let's finish this!" Xuelian replied with determination.
