Chapter 167: A Serious Talk

After Xuelian and I received our copy of the guidebook we left and made our way back to town. It was a pretty short walk back. All of the monsters we faced were defeated easily.

We approached the gate to the town, then I felt Xuelian's hand grasp mine.

"Wait," she cried.

Suddenly I felt very self-conscious. I felt heat rise to my face, but more importantly I felt the warmth from her hand.

It was warm. Very warm.

Her hand felt delicate, but also strong. It was the type of strength you can't put into words.

"Tsubasa," She called out to me. I inwardly prayed, I hoping for something but thought that it surely wouldn't be that.

"Yeah," I replied I couldn't face her; I didn't want her to see my face right now. The expression that was on it.

This was my partner, my teammate, I can't think about such things.

"We need to have a talk with Cyrus."

"...Yeah, you're right."

It was exactly as I had thought.

"...Is something wrong?" she asked.

"No nothing's wrong." I sensed her turning to face me, I tried to turn my head away, it was too late.
