"He says my name the way a wolf howls at the moon.

With a raw understanding,

A deep respect for what it means when I turn my head."

I woke up minutes after Livius was gone. His warmth disappearing, and the bed too big for me to even be comfortable.

I knew where he went.

I could still feel his lingering anger.

He had shoved it away for a few moments to console me, but it never completely disappeared.

I watched him as he marched down to the training grounds, my eyes a pale gold as I used my magic to enhance my vision, and I shivered as the fall breeze hit my face, and sent my hair flying.

Delta Noah stood beside me, watching me curiously. Livius most likely having ordered him to remain by my side, and I smiled as he also attempted to follow Livius' movements, but was only able to make out his figure.

I however saw everything.

His churning blue eyes were alight with an uncontainable anger, a vein popping out in his forehead, as he clenched his fists, nails digging into his skin, and I stared wide eyed as I saw the fresh blood that trailed down his hand from the force.

The cuts would heal in seconds but still...

Was he really that angry?

Well shit.

Once making it to the training grounds, I saw Jayden step towards him, and Livius stated something before Jayden turned to look at Zander sparring with one of the wolves, his eyes now dark with a slight anger.

Livius stepped towards Zander.

I winced.

"Look away, your majesty," Noah offered, voice low.

"No," I shook my head.

He was beating the shit out of him.

For me.

The least I could do was watch.

Livius breathed heavily, and I inhaled as I felt his rage through the bond. The intense feeling almost knocking me over.

True to his word, he beat the guy an inch near death before slowly pulling back. Zanders' blood staining his knuckles as he sent him one more bone crushing kick.

I know this isn't the right time.

But fuck, he's hot.

Another cold breeze passed, and I hugged myself as it carried my scent, causing Livius to glance up, dark eyes meeting my own.

I stared back, biting my lip nervously, before allowing them to pull into a gentle smile, and he gave me a small, barely noticeable nod.

He turned away, eyes taking in his surroundings before glancing back down at the unconscious, and heavily breathing, "alpha wolf."

Barking out a few words, I immediately understood what they meant when two wolves stepped forward and roughly dragged Zander away. After following their movements, Livius turned and stepped back towards the castle, anger slightly diminishing after his show of power.

"It's strange seeing him that angry," Noah murmured, leaning against the edge of the balcony, eyes thoughtful.

"What do you mean?"
