"As he also elected us in it before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless before him in love."
Ephesians 1: 4
Before the foundation of the world, we were called to be saints. Holiness is the character of Christ in us. We need to be holy, not to seek something of personal interest, but we need to be holy because the Lord is Holy. (1 Peter 1:16)
The interesting thing that Paul says that we can only be saints in love, that is, when the Lord dwells within us. (1 Corinthians 3:16) God is love, when He dwells in us, His love is in us, and thus we can be sanctified through His love in us. (1 John 4: 8)
Before the foundation of the world, we were set apart to be holy, that is, we were set apart exclusively for the Lord.
Sanctify yourself today, and be an exclusive person of the Lord!
