"Elijah was a man subject to the same passions as we are, and he prayed fervently that it would not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth."
James 5:17
Elijah was a prophet who was very close to the Lord. It was greatly used by God to prophesy and perform great miracles. The interesting thing that he went through the same passions that we go through today, and won!
The world offers many good things, but the Lord has wonderful and better things than that! Elijah also thought about giving up, but the Lord redeemed his faith. (1 Kings 19: 8-21)
When we die to ourselves and start living the life of Christ in us, then it is time to leave the cave and conquer the world. (Galatians 2: 19-20)
Do not bend the passions of the world, seek the Lord, for He has the best for us. (John 14: 6)
