Genesis 2:9
In the Garden of Eden there were several trees, but I want to pay attention to two special ones. There existed the tree of life and the knowledge of good and evil. When man was begotten, he only knew the good, because God created him. (Genesis 1:26)
When Adam and Eve tasted from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they came to know the evil, for the good they already knew. This tree is nothing but the devil himself! When man tasted of this tree, he was condemned to death, for the wages of sin is death. (Genesis 2:17; Romans 6:23)
But when man died for sin, God had a card up his sleeve. He had the tree of life to restore the life man had lost. That tree is Jesus! (Revelation 22:14; John 4:10; John 14:6)
Man has fallen into the past, but today he has the chance to come back to life. Just live the life Jesus has for us. (Galatians 2:19-20)
