Missions is a very serious thing that unfortunately the church has forgotten over time. Our mission here on earth is just two things: To worship the Lord is to preach the gospel. (Galatians 2: 19-20; Mark 16:15)
There is a people hungry and thirsty for the word of the Lord. (Romans 8:19) When we do not preach the gospel, we leave these people hungry and thirsty for the word. In fact, when we don't preach, we are preventing them from knowing the Lord. Jesus is also hungry and thirsty, but he is hungry and thirsty for souls! When we fail to preach the gospel, we are failing to feed His people. Consequently, we are despising Jesus. (Matthew 25: 44-45)
Faith without works is dead, so preach the gospel and bear fruit for the Kingdom. (James 2:26)
