True worshipers must be spiritual, for the Lord is a Spirit. (John 4:23) It is impossible to please the Lord those who are in the flesh. Whoever is in the flesh has no experience with the Lord. He who seeks carnal things is dominated by them, but he who seeks spiritual things is dominated by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8: 5-9)
We need to kill our flesh daily and live the life of Christ in us. (Galatians 2: 19-20) When we understand that we need to have a spiritual life, we will soon be ready to please the Lord.
