"Extend the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your rooms be extended; do not hinder them; lengthen your ropes, and firm your stakes well. Because you will overflow to the right and to the left; and your posterity will possess the nations and cause the desolate cities to be inhabited. "
Isaiah 54: 2-3
Overflowing life is a promise the Lord has for His children. (John 10:10) But for the Lord to overflow our lives, He must have empty vessels.
The prophet Elizeus was used by the Lord to multiply the widow's oil. She had to look for several empty pots in order to fill them all and get food for herself. (2 Kings 4: 1-7)
The Bible says that we are vessels in the Lord's hands. (Isaiah 64: 8) But we must be empty vessels to be filled with the glory of the Lord. When the widow stopped bringing vases, the oil stopped. When we are full of other things, we need to empty ourselves to be filled with the presence of the Father.
