The first thing they did after they arrived the house was to contact their son's school, to find out why Jay wasn't still at home and if they could be able to take him from that retreat themselves in order to see who his friends were. The school admin was quick to answer as she informs them he was on the hospital right now. But, with the mother immediately panicking, the call was cut off and this thing had only made it worse.

Only now, as they arrived too late in the scene, and after Jongseok asked the receptionist to where the victim of bullying is at, his eyes lingered on his wife when the last name of the girl was mentioned. They didn't mind at first, thinking there was too many family in the country who bears the Kim as a surname. Although, Jieun - Jay's mom - contemplated turning right on her heels and marching back into their car. It wouldn't matter that they'd essentially wasted a one hour travelling down here just to travel back.

As long as they didn't run into the ghost of their past, it didn't matter and they were they for their son, not for anyone else.

Gathering all the fraying end of her nerves, she tied them together and used them to strengthened her spine. As Jongseok thanked the receptionist, he pulled her gently to the direction of where they might find their son and Jieun forced him to linger at the right turn. In spite of the distance, they could see at least eight boys sitting in the chairs before the emergency room including their son.

What they didn't expect though, as their eyes zeroed down onto the two adult figures who was the only ones standing. Even though years had already passed since the wedding, since the last day he swore for the groom to promise him one thing, Jongseok wasn't prepared for the jolt of shock coursing through him at the sight of seeing this person of all people to meet in this place.

It wasn't the least of his problems when Jaejoon's eyes flickered upward, likely to check the clock mounted on the wall above him, but Jongseok moved out of the way nonetheless, not wanting to be seen.

It would be much easier if he would just leave, call Jay to go to the car and yet the fate was too playful to even let him be in peace.

Before he could think of retreating and running away, Jay spied the two of them and he stopped talking to Jungwon, staring at his dad in contemplating then his eyes wandered back to Donghyuk for some reason, and then back to his dad, beckoning for him to come closer as if he was daring him to try runaway.

Left with no other choice, Jongseok walked back and his hand that was holding onto Jieun's is getting clammy. While he walked closer to his son, he paid no heed to the way Jaejoon and Donghyuk turned to look at him. For the sake of the childrens that were watching, they pushed their shock asides and so unlike of their past, they nodded to each other, sharing a knowledge of what this could mean if the reason behind their fight takes her entrance all of a sudden.
