You wake up Friday morning feeling terrible, you haven't been able to sleep well since Pierre left and the morning sickness has been hard. Everything you've tried to eat in the morning, the baby doesn't seem to like. You head downstairs and make yourself some plain toast, as the nausea hits you.

"Baby, I thought you promised Daddy you'd take it easy on me," you say looking at your belly taking a deep breath. You lean over the kitchen sink and take a few deep breaths.

"See now, that's better." You say to yourself as the nausea passes. You finish your toast and head upstairs to pack your bags. You get half way through packing when the nausea hits you again and you run to the bathroom barely making it to the toilet before the toast comes back up.

"Oh, come on, not even toast," you groan. You hear your phone ringing in the other room, and barely pull yourself off the floor in time to answer it.

"Hey babe," you say answering the FaceTime call.

"How are you feeling this morning?" Pierre asks.

"Pretty terrible actually, the baby doesn't like toast, how does the baby not like toast," you say heading back to the bathroom.

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, what about cereal?" Pierre asks and you shake your head.

"Tried that yesterday," you say feeling nauseous again. "Didn't like that," you say putting your phone down and leaning over the toilet to throw up again.

"I'm so sorry I'm not there love," Pierre says.

"Believe me, it's probably better if you're not, it's not a pretty sight." You say flushing the toilet picking up your phone again.

"I know but still, in sickness and in health remember?" Pierre says and you smile.

"Yeah I'm definitely holding you to that in 7 months when I'm pushing this thing out of me." You say laughing. "Ready for practice today?"

"Yeah, should be a good weekend. Excited to be out on the track again. Christian is really pushing for another win." Pierre says smiling.

"Isn't he always?" You say laughing.

"Very true." Pierre says, and another wave of nausea hits you and you lean over to the toilet throwing up again.

"Will you please let me call Anna or Charlotte for you?" Pierre says.

"No, I'll be fine, I just need to find something the baby likes." You say flushing the toilet.

"Please? For me? I'd feel better knowing someone was with you." Pierre says and you sigh.

"You're going to be such a good dad," you say. "Call Charlotte though because Anna has two kids at home, and I can't imagine what kind of chaos that would be."

"Okay I will," Pierre says. "I love you."

"I love you too," Pierre says before hanging up.

You sit on the bathroom floor, and a few moments later you hear your phone ring.

"Maddie? What's going on?" You hear Charlotte say. "Pierre called and said you weren't feeling well and that I should come over to check on you?"

"Char, hey, I'm okay, just..." you say leaning over the toilet again throwing up and groaning.

"I'm going to drop Jules off with Anna, and then I'll be right over." Charlotte says hanging up, you lean your head against the toilet groaning again.

"Come on kid, I can't do this for the next 7 months, please give me a break." You whisper.
