7 Months Later

......

You're sitting on the couch at home re-watching the Spanish GP on the TV while you wait for Pierre to come home. It's late Sunday night, but Pierre insisted on coming home tonight after the race rather than tomorrow. He wants to be home with you in case you went into labour early. You haven't been able to travel to races over the last month and to be honest Pierre feels a lot better knowing you're safe at home then potentially going into labour in a foreign company. Luckily it's the Monaco GP this weekend and you are determined to go to that one before the baby comes. You smile as you hear the front door open as Pierre walks in. You try to get up from the couch, but your now swollen belly has thrown off your center of balance as you sink back down on the couch.

"Can I get a hand getting up here?" You ask and Pierre runs over.

"Are you okay? Is it time?" He asks nervously helping you to stand up.

"Yes, I'm fine. I'm a whale, but I'm fine. No, it's not time, I just want to hug my husband." You say laughing and pulling him in for a hug, your belly creating a space between you. "Congrats on P2 by the way, it looked like a good race."

Pierre chuckles hugging you before leaning back and placing a soft kiss on your lips. He puts a hand on your belly as the baby kicks.

"How's our little guy doing?" Pierre asks and you smile.

You remember that ultrasound appointment like it was yesterday.

Pierre holding your hand nervously as the doctor uses the ultrasound machine to scan around your belly.

"Are you sure you want to know the sex?" The doctor asks one last time and the both of you nod.

The doctor turns the ultrasound screen towards you, "congratulations, it's a boy," and you and Pierre both burst into happy tears.

"He's good, kicking up a storm. I swear he might be a soccer player with his kicks." You say putting a hand on your belly trying to settle him.

"He's just happy to have his Daddy back home," Pierre says leaning down and kissing your belly.

"We both are." You say smiling. "But this baby is pressing on my bladder, so I need to pee again." You say waddling over to the bathroom on the main floor.

"I'll make us some food." Pierre says heading to the kitchen, leaving his bags still by the door.

You come back a few minutes later, and grab Pierre's suitcase intending to bring it upstairs. When he runs over and grabs it from you.

"Pierre, what are you doing?" you ask staring at him.

"I'll bring it upstairs after we eat. You're not suppose to be lifting heavy things remember." Pierre says bringing the suitcase back into the kitchen with him. You sigh frustrated you haven't been able to do anything over the last few weeks.

"I'm pregnant, I'm not immobile." You say sitting down at the kitchen island.

"You are 9 months pregnant love. He could come at any time now, I'm not taking any risks with you." Pierre says kissing your forehead before heading to the oven to remove the pizza. He has been such a big help. You sigh and grab a piece of Pizza, taking a bite.

Pierre and Max finished the nursery a few weeks ago, and Kelly helped you pack your hospital bag. It's been sitting by the front door ready for when the time comes. John installed a car seat into the Sedan, and you reluctantly traded in your Lamborghini for something a little more family friendly installing a car seat in there as well. Anna, Charlotte, and Kelly have all been taking turns staying with you while Pierre is away just in case you went into labour early, but the little man seems to be content staying in.

"What time is your mom coming again?" You ask Pierre. Pascale is coming to stay with you during the Monaco GP until the baby is born, and for a few weeks afterwards until your settled. Unfortunately, the race schedule doesn't stop when you have a baby, and you know it is very likely Pierre may miss the birth all together.

"She'll be here Friday morning," Pierre says taking a bit of his pizza.

"All right little man, do you hear that? You either need to come out between now and Friday, or you need to stay in there until next week. You can't distract daddy during race weekend." You say looking at the bump taking another bite of pizza.

"Now, would be nice." Pierre says chuckling and you laugh as the baby kicks.

"I don't think he liked that. He just kicked my ribs."

The two of you finish up eating and you slowly wobble your way upstairs to your bedroom. You stop as you pass the nursery and smile leaning against the door frame. Pierre comes up the stairs carrying his suitcase after you and stands behind your rubbing your arm.

"Come on, let's get some sleep while we stillcan." Pierre says kissing your cheek. You smile and follow him into thebedroom. You never sleep well without Pierre next to you, and the baby hasamplified that by ten. There's something you need to talk to him about, but itcan wait until tomorrow. Right now, you just need a goodnight's sleep with yourhusband.
