Friday night, Rory, Logan and Lorelai were sitting in the living room of the Gilmore house have I g drinks with Richard and Emily. Rory and Logan had spent six weeks in Asia before coming back to Stars Hollow until they move.
"I still can't believe you guys are moving on Sunday" Emily said
"I know" Lorelai said "it's going too fast. Can't you stay here forever?"
"Mom" Rory said
"I know. I know. You have to go and work and live and blah blah blah" Lorelai said
"Blah blah blah?" Richard asked
"Yeah. Blah blah blah" lorelai said
"How are you planning on getting yourselves and all your stuff to Palo Alto?" Emily asked
"The movers came and picked up our stuff today" Logan said "we're flying out late, Sunday morning. We should get there around the same time as our stuff, if not before"
"And as soon as we get settled in you're all invited to come visit" Rory said
"Do you have enough space for all of us?" Richard asked
"We have more than enough space" Rory said
"Dinner is ready Mrs Gilmore" the made said
"Thank you, Aurora" Emily said "let's eat"

"How weird is this" Lane said as she and Rory sat on the porch of Lanes house "yesterday were sitting on your porch, playing jacks and praying to grow boobs, and now look at us. I have a husband and two babies in there and you're about to go off and conquer the world, or at least write about it"
"We've come a long way"
"I'll say"
Zach opened the window that was behind them and poked his head out "babe"
"Yeah?" Lane asked
"Can I talk to you for a sec?"
"Sure, what's up?"
"In private?"
"Oh, well, I'll be right back"
"Ok" Rory said
Lane walked inside
"What's going on?" Lane asked
"I just got a call from Luke and they wanna start setting up the square for the party tomorrow"
"Yeah? So?"
"So, the honoree is sitting on our porch, looking out onto the square and they can't start setting up until she goes home"
"It's my last night with my best friend" Lane started walking back outside and Zach followed
"Well, could you kind of move it along because it's getting late and we were just trying-"
Lane turned around and looked at Zach
"Hey, I'm just the messenger" Zach said
Lane just stared at him
"You're done when you're done. I'll let them know"
Lane went back outside
"Lane" Rory said
"Yeah?"
"I just... your friendship means so much to me. It's so..."
"Me too"
