"Promise you'll come visit?" Lorelai said

"Of course" Rory said

"And you'll me come visit as soon as you're settled in"

"Of course"

"Ok" Lorelai took a deep breath "you gotta go or you're gonna miss your flight"

Rory just stood there

"Rory?"

Rory didn't answer

"Ace, you ok?"

"Mom" Rory said, tearing up

"I know, kid. I know"

"Thank you so much, for everything" tears started to fall down Rory's face

"It was nothing" Lorelai sniffled

Rory took a step forward and hugged her mother. Lorelai held Rory tight for a moment.

Logan put his hand on Rory's back "Ace, we have to go" he said, softly

Rory let go of the hug and lorelai put her hands on Rory's shoulders

"Go be great" Lorelai whispered "call me when you land"

Logan took Rory's hand and they walked into the airport.

A week later

Logan walked down the stairs and into the kitchen where Rory was making coffee "ok" he said "That was the last box"

"You're kidding!"

"Nope" Logan smiled and put his hands of Rory's waist "I just finished unpacking the last box in our room and the beds in all the rooms are made"

"Oh, your amazing" Rory put his hands on Logan's face and kissed him "do you want coffee?"

"Definitely" Logan chuckled "by the way your mom called. She wants to come visit"

"What did you tell her?"

"I told her I didn't know if you were ready to have people over yet and that I'll let you know she called"

"I'm gonna call her back." Rory picked up the phone and started to dial Lorelai's number "wait. What time is it there?"

"10:42"

"She should still be up" Rory finished dialing the number and put the phone to her ear

"Hello?" Lorelai said over the phone
