Fall

October 15th 2013- 30 weeks

"Al, I need those quotes!" Rory shouted across the busy newsroom

"I can only give them to you when I have them!" Al shouted back

"We have a deadline. Why don't you have them yet?"

"Ask Liza"

"Come on people!" The editor said "if someone is depending on you for something, make sure you get it to them in a timely manor! We're trying to get a paper out, and we don't have time to get stuck at every step!" The editor walked over to Rory's desk where she was trying on her computer "Huntzberger"

"Taylor" Rory looked up

"You're working from home starting next week, right?"

"Yes"

"When do you stop working?" She asked

"I'm not working from the first of December"

"Taylor!" Someone shouted "we got a problem!"

"Excuse me" Taylor said and walked away

"I'm home!" Rory called out when she walked into the house

"Mama!" Lena ran over to Rory with a piece of paper "I made you a picture!"

Rory took the piece of paper "wow, it's beautiful! Thank you" she hugged Lena

"Hi" Logan kissed her

"Hi"

"I think I'm gonna need to learn some French" Logan chuckled

"je pense que tu as raison"

"What?"

"My point exactly" Rory kissed him

"So, how's our little chicken nugget doing?" Logan put his hand on Rory's belly

"Nugget's doing great. Kicking away happily"

"And you?"

"Just tired"

Around 2am everyone was asleep. Logan had his arm around Rory and her head was on his shoulder when Rory sat up, breathing quickly

"Ace, what's wrong?" Logan sat up

"I don't know" Rory shook her head "I can't...I can't breathe"

"Hey" Logan put his hand on her back "look at me. You're ok. Try and take a deep breath"

"I can't" Rory said through tears

"Ace, I need you to try to calm down" he rubbed her back "this isn't good for you, and it's not good for the baby"

Rory leaned into Logan who wrapped his arms around her and a few minutes later she had calmed down.

"Are you ok?" Logan asked, softly

Rory nodded

"Do you need anything? What can I do?"

"Just...Don't let go yet" Rory put her hand on his chest

"I'm not going anywhere" He kissed her forehead

They stayed like that for a little while longer until Rory fell asleep, leaning on Logan. He gently laid her back down before laying back down himself, still holding Rory.

"Shh" Logan put his finger over his mouth when he saw Lena walk into the room, the next morning

"Shh" Lena copied him
