December 24th Rory woke up to Logan kissing her neck. She turned around to look at him
"Good morning" Logan said
"Hi"
"How'd you sleep?"
"Good"
"Good" he kissed her "come here" he got out of bed and held his hand out
"What are you doing?"
"Just come"
Rory took Logan's hand and got out of bed
"Put your shoes on" Logan said
"Logan, it's 6am"
"Just put your shoes on"
"Ok..." Rory put her shoes on
"Let's go"
"What about Lena?"
"Your mom's got her" Logan took her hand and led her out of the the room
"Have fun" Lorelai said
"Logan, where are we going?"
"It's a surprise, Ace" Logan led her out of the house and through town
"Logan, did you happen to notice that we're both in our pajamas?"
"It's fine"
"Logan..."
Logan stopped walking and turned to face Rory "do you trust me?"
"Of course I trust you"
"Good" he kissed her "then, let's go"
Logan led Rory through town all the way to the news stand
"You couldn't wait until later to get a newspaper?"
Logan handed Rory the New York Times
"What is this?"
"You're a journalist. You don't know what that is?"
"I know what the New York Times is. What I don't know is why you're giving it to me?"
Logan opened the paper to the page with the bestselling books list "look"
"Oh, my god!" Rory looked up at Logan "oh, my god! That's my book!"
"Yes it is" Logan said, grinning
"That's my book on the New York Times bestsellers list!"
"Yup"
"Oh, my god!" She hugged Logan "how did this happen?!"
"You're amazing. That's how it happened"
"Oh, my god!"
"I'm proud of you, Ace" he kissed her cheek
"I have to show my mom!"
"Let's go"
They made their way back to Lorelai and Luke's house, where Lorelai was sitting on the couch
"Is Lena still asleep?" Rory asked when they walked through the door
"She is"
"Good"
"So, what was so important that Logan had me wake up at 6am to watch your kid?"
"Look!" Rory gave Lorelai the paper
"Is that your book?!"
"Yeah!"
"Oh, my god, that's amazing!" Lorelai hugged her
"I think we need to celebrate" Logan said
"Agreed" Lorelai said
