20 years

October 28th 2028

Daniel and Sophie were standing outside of Rory and Logan's bedroom door, early Saturday morning.

"Do you think they're awake?" Sophie whispered, pressing her ear to the door

Daniel pressed his ear to the door "I don't think so, but we should hurry up"

Half an hour later they made their way back to Rory and Logan's door

"What are you doing?" Daniel asked, quietly when Sophie went to knock

"Knocking"

"Don't wake them up" Daniel said

"Why not? What did we just do all of that for if they aren't gonna see it?"

"They'll see it when they get up"

"Do you think they know we can hear them?" Logan chuckled

"Probably not" Rory said. She got out of bed and opened the door, staring Sophie and causing Daniel, who was leaning against the door, to fall

"Hi" Daniel said

"Happy anniversary" Sophie smiled

"Thank you" Rory kissed Sophie's forehead. Logan appeared in the hall and they made their way downstairs and into the kitchen "why are you guys acting so weird?" Rory asked, noticing that Sophie and Daniel were acting strange

"We're not being weird" Daniel said

Rory opened the fridge to to an envelope taped to the shelf. She pulled it down and hello it up for Logan and the kids to see

"What is this?" Rory asked

"Open it" Sophie said

Rory and Logan exchanged a confused took before Rory opened the envelope and read the letter inside. She handed it to Logan so he could read it.

Mom and dad,

"What is this?" Logan asked

"You read the letter" Sophie said

"Now, do what it says" Daniel added

Rory and Logan walked into the living room, Daniel and Sophie following behind. They saw a large poster with the picture of the from the life and death brigade jump. At the bottom corner was an arrow pointing to the dining room

"I still can't believe that I did that" Rory chuckled "wait...how did you guys get this picture?"

"Not telling" Sophie smirked

"That's all you" Rory poked Logan's chest

Rory and Logan continued walking through the house to see blown up pictures from important things in their relationship. Their first Valentine's Day, the rocket that Logan gave Rory, then at the hay bale maze, when they got engaged, when they bought their first house and moved to California. They had been through the whole house and were now in the guest room that was next to Lena's room, looking at pictures from their wedding. Daniel and Sophie left them alone after the first picture.

"I love that picture" Rory pointed to a picture of her and Logan dancing at their wedding when they didn't know someone was taking a picture.

"Yeah, it's a good one" Logan chuckled

"What's funny?"

Logan pulled his phone out of his pocket and showed her that his screensaver was the picture that they were talking about.
