"So we're gonna send you home with a pulse ox monitor and an oxygen tank" The doctor told them "pulse ox goes below 90, use the oxygen. If it goes below 85, which it likely won't, bring her back" he continued "I'd keep her at home until after her checkup on Tuesday"

"Ok" Logan said

A couple of hours later Rory and Logan were getting Sophie settled at home. Rory was changing Sophie when Logan saw her yawn

"Why don't you go sleep?" Logan suggested

"I'm fine"

"No, you're not" Logan put his hands on torus shoulders "you just spent a week sitting in an uncomfortable chair in a hospital sleeping for 20 minutes at a time, only when you couldn't stay awake anymore. You need to sleep"

"What about Sophie?"

"She's got another parent" Logan said "I can't handle everything for a couple of hours while you sleep"

"Ok"

"Lena what are you doing?" Luke asked Lena who was opening salt shakers in the diner

"Helping" Lena smiled

"How about we find something else for you to help with?" Luke suggested

"Why?"

The door opened and Babette walked in

"Hey Babette" Luke said

"Rory's here?" Babette asked

"No, just Lena" Luke said

"Oh...how come?"

"Lena, why don't you go upstairs and find a book to read?" Luke suggested and Lena went upstairs "Sophie got sick and is in the hospital, so we're taking care of Lena so Rory and Logan can be with her. Danny's with Logan's sister"

"That's terrible" Babette gasped

"Yeah" Luke nodded "she seems to be doing better though"

Lorelai came bursting into the diner "they're home!"

"What?" Luke asked, confused

"They're home!" Lorelai repeated

"That's great!"

"Yeah, I feel like a giant weight was just lifted off my chest" Lorelai sighed "I can't even imagine how Rory and Logan feel"

"Relieved, if I had to guess" Luke said

"Have you seen the baby?" Babette asked "is she ok?"

"I saw her about a week ago, in the hospital" Lorelai said "it was...hard" Lorelai took a deep breath

Lorelai's phone rang before anyone could say anything else

"Rory? Is Sophie ok?" Lorelai asked as she put the phone to her ear

"Not Rory" Logan said, from Rory's phone

"Logan? Are you on Rory's phone?" She pulled the phone away from her ear to check

"Yeah, mine died" Logan said "listen, I know Rory told you she was gonna come get Lena as soon as we got Sophie settled but she hasn't slept in a week, and-"

"And you want her to rest before your 2 little kids come home and make it impossible" Lorelai finished Logan's thought

"Yeah..."

"I'll do you one better" Lorelai said "I'll drop her off there tomorrow morning"

"Thanks Lorelai"

"Bye" Lorelai hung up "we have Lena one more night"
