"Mom" Rory said when she opened her eyes the next morning to see Lorelai sitting on a chair on the other side of the room
"Hey!" Lorelai stood up "you are you feeling?"
"Like someone cut me open and poked around inside of me"
"I wonder why" Lorelai chuckled
"Logan?"
"He went to get Lena. He thought you'd wanna see her and April had to go back to school"
"Can I come in?" Emily poked her head in
"Hey grandma"
"You are you doing?" Emily asked
"I've been better"
"What happened?" Lorelai asked
"On of the screws in the collarbone came loose" Rory sighed
"Ouch"
"Yeah"
"Knock knock" Logan walked in with Lena
"My baby!" Rory reached for Lena with her good arm
Logan put Lena on the bed, next to Rory and Rory wrapped her arm around Lena.
"Hi" Logan kissed her "how are you feeling?"
"Did I-?"
"Spend a hour talking about hot air balloons yesterday, when you were high?" Logan laughed "yes. Yes you did"
"That's not what I was gonna ask" Rory said
"You were high?!" Emily asked
"Pain meds" Rory said
"God, I would've paid so much to see that!" Lorelai laughed
"Oh, I have video" Logan chuckled
"Logan!" Rory scolded
"I have to see that!" Lorelai exclaimed
"Maybe not" Rory grabbed Logan's phone from his pocket
"Hey!" Lorelai pouted
"Lorelai, don't be ridiculous" Emily rolled her eyes

"Ok, thank you" Rory said as the doctor left the room
"You ok?" Logan asked and adjusted Lena in his arms
"No" Rory sighed
"It'll get better" he kissed her forehead
"Mama" Lena said softly and reached for Rory
"Come here" Rory's said and Logan put Lena in Rory's good arm "hi baby" Rory kissed her cheek
"Did you tell your mom yet?"
"About us moving?"
Logan nodded
"Not yet. I did however speak with the New York Times. They're gonna give us a little more time to move and get settled before I have to start, given the circumstances"
"Good"
"We still have to find a pediatrician, and a daycare, and-"
"We will" Logan interrupted her "we have time"
"Are we really doing this?"
"We're really doing this"
"Are you sure you're ok with it?"
"Absolutely" he kissed her
