"You ready to be back at work?" Logan asked as there got ready for the day, before either of the kids woke up
"Definitely"
"And to be away from nugget?" He gave her a knowing look
"Why do you ask questions when you already know the answer?"
"He'll be fine. You know that, right?" Logan put his hands on her shoulders
Rory nodded
"Look, he's in the same building as Lena. 5 minutes away from you and less than 10 minutes from me. If anything happens, which it won't, we're both right there"
"I know"
Logan wrapped his arms around Rory, holding her tight, and letting her rest her head on his chest. She hugged him back
"We have to get Lena up" Logan said, softly, a few minutes later
"No" Rory grumbled and squeezed him tighter
"Ace..." Logan chuckled "you don't wanna be late on your first day back, do you?" He brushed some hair behind her ear
"Hey! That's a good idea!"
"What?"
"Then they'll fire me, and I'll never have to leave them" Rory joked
"Rory..."
"I'm kidding...mostly"

"Hey! You're back!" Olivia said when Rory stepped into the newsroom
"I'm back" Rory smiled
"How are you? How's the baby? How's Lena? How's Logan?"
"I'm great. The baby's great. Lena's great. Logan's great"
"Great"
"You're back?" Steve asked
"Well, I'm not a hologram" Rory joked
"I read your book" Steve said
"Oh, yeah!" Olivia exclaimed "me too. It was great!"
"What she said" Steve said
"Thank you both"
Olivia's phone chimed and she looked at it
"Ugh" Olivia groaned "Is your husband as clueless as mine?"
"What happened?"
"Kylie's sick, so she didn't go to school today" Olivia said. Kylie is Olivia 7 year old daughter "and Mark is home with her"
"Why does that make him clueless?" Steve asked
"He just texted me asking what he should do if she wants to take a bath" Olivia rolled her eyes
"There's ridiculous" Rory said
"Huntzberger!" Rory's editor calmed out from across the newsroom
"Yeah?"
"Welcome back"
"Thank you"
"Your assignment's on your desk"
"Got it"

"Hey!" Rory said when she opened the door for Honor, Josh, Violet and Rosie "come on in"
