March 11th 2016- 14 weeks
Rory and Logan were sitting in the Gilmore house for Friday night dinner with Richard, Emily, Lorelai, Luke, and April. They were sitting next to each other. Lena was sitting next to Logan and Danny was sitting next to Rory.
"So, April, what are you doing nowadays?" Richard asked
"I'm actually doing this really cool project right now" April said "we're working on developing a device that would allow people with certain physical disabilities to do everyday tasks that they would otherwise need help with"
"What does that mean?" Logan asked
April explained her project in more detail.
"And how's your boyfriend? Noah?" Emily asked
"Noah's good" April said
"He's enjoying his new his job?"
"Very much" April nodded
"Lena, how are you doing?" Lorelai asked
"Excited" Lena said
"What are you excited about?" Emily asked
"Can I tell?" Lena whispered
Rory nodded
"I'm getting a baby sister" Lena said, excitedly
"Are you serious?!" Lorelai exclaimed "you're pregnant?"
"Mhmm" Rory nodded
"Oh, my god! Congratulations!" Lorelai hugged Rory
"Oh, this is so exciting!" April said
"Congratulations guys" Luke said
"Congratulations" Emily said
"We should toast" Richard said and went to get a bottle of champagne
"Danny, what do you think about getting a baby sister?" Lorelai asked
"It's good" Danny said
"We're not so sure he fully gets it" Logan said
"Hey wait, how do you know it's gonna be a girl?" Lorelai asked
"Well, there's this fancy machine called an ultrasound that lets doctors see inside of your body" Rory joked
"Hold on" Emily said "how far along are you, that you know already?"
"14 weeks" Rory said
"So...September?" Lorelai asked
"Yeah" Rory nodded
"Huh" Lorelai chuckled softly "you always were good at planning"
"What are you talking about?" Rory asked
"3 kids, all 2 and a half years apart, give or take a month or 2" Lorelai said "you wanna tell me that wasn't intentional?"
"I'd rather not get into specifics here" Rory said
"It's not like we don't already know"
"Mom!" Rory blushed
"Lorelai" Emily rolled her eyes
"I'm just saying, we all have kids and we all know how they got here"
"How?" Lena asked
Rory sighed and put her hand over her face.
"Munchkin, that's a question for home, ok?"
"Ok"
