"Let me look at you!" Lorelai said when Rory and Logan walked out of the airport in Hartford, a few weeks after new years "take off your jacket"
"Mom it's freezing"
"Fine" Lorelai grumbled "hey, when did you get your cast off?" She asked when she noticed Logan's arm
"A couple of week's ago"
"And I didn't know you were rid of your arm prison." She said to Rory
"Last week" Rory said "not that I can use my arm so well anyway, but I can try now"
"Come on, Luke waiting for us. Oh, and April's here"

"Luke! I come with guests!" Lorelai shouted when they walked into the house
"Hi Rory" Luke hugged her "Logan" He shook his hand "how are you guys feeling?"
"Better, thanks" Logan said
"I'm just glad that I can get myself dressed again" Rory chuckled and Logan gave her a knowing look "ok, maybe not completely by myself"
"Speaking of getting dressed, take off your coat I wanna look at you" Lorelai said
"There's not much to see yet, mom" Rory said, taking off her coat
Lorelai put her hand on Rory's stomach and giggled "It's my loin fruit's loin fruit"
"Ew, mom" Rory groaned "Can you take your hand off my stomach, now? It's weird"
"It's not weird. I'm feeling the baby"
Rory took Lorelai's hand off her stomach "there's nothing there to feel yet"
"Whatever"
"Rory! Logan!" April came running down the stairs
"Hi April" Rory hugged her
"How are you guys doing? I heard you had to have surgery. Did it hurt? Do you have a scar?"
"We're doing good. I did have a surgery. It hurt like hell and yes I have a scar... 3 actually"
"April, calm down" Luke said
"It's fine" Rory said "you wanna know something kinda cool?"
"Always" April smiled
"give me your hand"
April gave Rory her hand and Rory ran April's fingers over her collarbone. April's eyes went wide
"Oh, my god, what is that?"
"That is a metal plate and 6 metal screws in my collarbone. I also..." Rory moved Aprils hands down to her arm "have 10 screws over here"
"Cool"
"Hey, so what are you doing next year?" Rory asked
"I'm actually gonna be at Stanford" April said
"Oh, wow. That's less than 10 minutes from us" Logan said
"What's your major?" Rory asked
"Mechanical engineering"
"Ooh, fancy"
"I guess" April blushed
"Well, you're welcome to come by whenever" Rory said
"Thanks"
"By the way, I'm doing doggie swami again this year" lorelai said
"Poor Paul Anka" Rory laughed
