"Don't get up" Logan said, when Daniel started crying, early Saturday morning "I'll get him" Logan got out of bed and picked up Daniel "good morning chicken nugget"
"Why are you still calling him that?" Rory mumbled
"I called him that for 9 months. I can't just stop now that he's here" Logan said and got back into bed, holding Daniel
"But he has a name now" Rory sat up
"He's had a name for months" Logan reminded her
"This is a ridiculous conversation"
"Yes it is" Logan agreed "how are you feeling?"
"Good. Still a little sore, but good"
"Good"
"You promise you'll be careful today?"
"Ace, I've been skiing before"
"Yeah, but this time your taking our 2 year old with you"
"Kiddie hills only" He leaned over and kissed her
"And I want pictures"
"Of course"
The door opened. Lena walked in and climbed up on the bed "hi nugget" she whispered and kissed Daniel's forehead "Hi daddy. Hi mama"
"Hi baby" Rory said and pulled Lena onto her lap, kissing her cheek "did you sleep well?"
Lena nodded
"You want some breakfast?" Rory asked
"Bagel?"
"Sure" Rory got out of bed and started walking towards the kitchen with Lena. A little while later Lena was sitting at the kitchen island, eating a bagel when Logan came down with Daniel. "Here" Rory took the baby from Logan "I got him"
"You sure?"
"Yeah"
They ate breakfast and then Rory got Lena ready to go skiing while Logan fed Daniel
"Promise you'll be careful?" Rory asked just as Logan and Lena were about to leave
"Yes. And I'll take lots of pictures."
"Good"
"You gonna be ok here by yourself?"
"Yeah. Plus my mom's coming over soon. She said she's 'baby deprived' so I told her she can come visit if she wants"
"Ok. Call if you need. I'll have my phone on"
"Ok" Rory said and bent down to Lena "have so much fun, ok?"
"Ok mama"
"Good" Rory hugged her and kissed her head and then kissed Logan before they left
About an hour later Rory was walking around with Daniel asleep on her chest when there was a knock at the door.
"Hi mom" Rory said when she opened the door
"Hi, how are you feeling?"
"I'm feeling good" Rory said "tired"
"He asleep?" Lorelai gestured to Daniel
"Yeah"
"Why's it so quiet here?"
"Oh, it's daddy/ daughter day" Rory told her "they're having a fun snow day"
"That's cute"
"Yeah"
