Huntzbergers

Rory and  Logan were sitting in the car, outside of the Huntzberger mansion.

"You ready?" Logan asked

"No" Rory said, shaking her leg

Logan put his hand on Rory's leg to stop it from shaking. "Take your time"

"I feel like I'm gonna cry"

"That's ok"

"No it's not. I can't be crying when we go in there"

Honor tapped on Rory's window, causing her to jump. Logan rolled down the window.

"I'd appreciate it if you didn't give my wife a heart attack" Logan said

"Sorry" Honor chuckled

"That's ok" Rory said

"Why are you guys sitting in the car?" Honor asked

"I'm trying to make sure that I'm not gonna cry" Rory told her

Honor giggled "pregnancy's fun, isn't it?"

"It's definitely interesting"

"And Logan gets the brunt of the interesting, right?"

"Oh yeah" Rory laughed

"Ok, I left Josh alone with my parents so I should get back inside" Honor said "you coming?"

Rory took a deep breath "we're coming"

They walked in and gave their coats to the maid. Rory was wearing a loose dress that hid her small baby bump.

"Look who I found" Honor said as they walked into the sitting room

"Logan, Rory, nice to see you" Mitchum said, coldly "how long has it been? A year?"

"Something like that" Logan said. He and Rory sat down

They sat in an awkward silence for a few moments

"So, Rory, when did you get your arm back?"

"Oh. Just last week, actually" Rory said

"How does it feel?"

"Like I can never wear short sleeves again" Rory joked

"I think the scars are cool"

"So, Logan, how's work?" Mitchum asked

"Work is good" Logan said

"Good. I'm glad to hear it" Mitchum said "and you, Rory?"

"I read your article about Gavin Newsom. Very well written"

"Thank you"

It was quiet again

"How's Hershey?" Honor asked

"What's Hershey?" Shira asked

"Our dog" Logan said

"You have a dog?" Mitchum asked

"Mhmm" Logan nodded

"When did you get a dog?"

"A little over 2 years ago" Logan said "Hersheys good, Honor. Thanks for asking"

"Does she still do that thing where she touches her nose to your face?" Honor asked

"Not so much, actually. But lately she won't leave Rory alone" Logan said

"You know why, right?"

"We know why" Rory said

"Why?" Mitchum asked

"Well um... dogs can sense things and I guess she know that Rory was hurt, and-" Logan said but was interrupted

"I'm pregnant!" Rory blurted out "I'm so sorry" she said, quietly to Logan "I didn't mean to do that, but I couldn't take it anymore"

Logan gently squeezed her knee, letter her know that it's ok

"You're pregnant?" Mitchum asked

Rory nodded

"That's wonderful!" Shira stood up to hug Rory

Rory, Logan, Honor and Josh exchanged confused looks

"How far along?"

"Um...17 weeks"

"17 weeks?"

"Yes"

"You waited 17 weeks to tell us?" Shira started to raise her voice

"Mom..." Logan warned

Shira took a deep breath "do you know what you're having?"

"Not yet"

"Are you going to find out?"

"Yeah, in a couple of weeks"

"That was weird" Rory said, when they got in the car

"Yeah"

"They were nice"

"I know"

"It was weird"

"What can I say, Ace?" Logan chuckled "I guess they realize that if they wanna know their grandkid they're gonna have to be nice to you"

"Weird"

"Very weird"
