Tails: (gets up in Espio's face) You. Did. What!?
Espio: Okay, that question was a lie! I didn't steal your rings, that was all Silver.
Tails: Oh, right. (gets up in Silver's face) Thief!! (slaps Silver across the face)
Silver: Oww!!! Hey!!
Knuckles: So why did you take them?
Espio: We were running low on energy and needed to find some rings as soon as possible.
Rouge: That's a stupid reason. You do know that there's infinite amounts of rings all over the world, right?
Espio: We needed to find some nearby rings, and we didn't have time to go hunt for some.
Sonic: (flatly) Wow.
Knuckles: That was so desperate of you, Espio.
Espio: Hey, desperate times called for desperate measures.
Vector and Charmy: (sarcastically) Uh-huh. Sure.
[Everyone was laughing.]
