Draco hadn't talked, nor looked at me since our last interaction. I wish I could say that was to be expected, but a part of me didn't want it to be expected; didn't want it to happen.

I knew he wasn't mad at me for what happened, and I knew I wasn't mad at him. I suspect he just needs some time to think, and process it all.

"You're putting that- on my eyes?" Blaise asks Pansy as we get the boys ready for the Halloween party.

It was weird how fast time was flying by this year, but then again it seemed to do that every year.

"Well not on your eyes, but around them yes," She explains, as I try not to laugh at his confused and bewildered expression.

I was doing my own makeup while Pansy worked on Blaise, and Theo and Draco put their costumes on in their own dorm.

"But it's red," He stares at the eyeshadow palette, hesitant to let Pansy apply the makeup.

"Love you've just got to trust me," She laughs quietly, holding his chin with her hand.

He presses his lips together, still unsure about it before he closes his eyes, letting Pansy start on his makeup.

She applied a thin layer of the dark red eyeshadow around his eyes, definitely adding to the "dead" look that we were going for.

"Merlin I knew those costumes would turn out good," Pansy says, earning my attention as the boys enter our dorm.

I turn my head to look at them, trying my hardest to not let my mouth fall open at the sight.

Theo was wearing a short-sleeved black and white striped t-shirt, with basic black trousers, fitting his character pretty well, as it didn't require much to look like Pugsley Addams.

Draco was wearing a black and white suit, though the jacket and trousers— which were mainly black— had thin vertical white stripes on them, as he was Gomez Addams. And goodness did that suit fit him well.

I soon realize the amount of time I've been looking at him as he puts his tie on, before I force my eyes away and admire Blaise's costume instead. We had picked him as Lurch, the family's butler, for no obvious reason though his tall and slim body did match the character quite well. He was wearing a simple black and white suit for his costume, though Pansy wanted to go full out on the makeup.

I open up the black lipstick Pansy had given me, first applying it to my bottom lip, and then carefully putting it on my top lip as well. I lean closer to the mirror, making sure the cupid's bow on my lips wasn't smudged with black, before I see a certain pair of gray eyes staring at my movements.

It almost surprises me that he's actually looking at me, though I don't show that shock and instead just instinctively smirk at his almost amazed expression. Who knew Draco Malfoy liked black lipstick so much?

Our eyes stay looking at each other through the mirror, before I stand straight again, rubbing my lips together and closing the lipstick.

I watch his chest slowly rise and fall, as he takes a deep breath in.

"Mate can you start working on Malfoy's makeup?" Pansy distracts me, not turning her head away from applying a light coat of red lip gloss to Blaise's lips.
