Chapter 68: Mr. Lawyer and I.

I fluttered my eyes open once again.

I didn't even have to remember what had happened cause the pain was there... Living inside of me.

No hope...No nothing, I was alone.

I felt sadness, anger, rage, hate, pain and then nothing...

I felt nothing... I felt empty.

In a second all my emotions were gone.

I felt a squeeze in my hand.

The feeling was familiar.

" Why are you still here, Killian? " I asked with a tired, empty voice.

Killian stayed silent. I heard him swallow.

There was a knock on the door.

Killian sighed annoyed and before he opened up he helped me sit up.

There was another knock and Killian groaned and went to open the door.

I felt empty... empty... empty...

I couldn't even remember what I had felt before...

I know I should be scared about not feeling anything but my emotions and my logic were different things.

I heard a cough and I focused my attention on whoever had done that.

" You do remember me, right?" A soft, melodic voice asked.

Flashback

" So, this is your other daughter? " The lawyer asked.

He stood up and shook my hand.

" It's a pleasure to meet you miss...." He said.

" Scarlett and you are? " I asked in a bitchy tone.

He smiled, he was young probably 25.

" I was your brother's lawyer... Giovani." Giovani informed.

" Well then the pleasure is mine." I said sincerely.

He nodded and turned to look at my family " I should get going, you and I might be meeting in a future." He said quietly.

" Giovani my brother's lawyer... " I whispered, remembering him.

" I did tell you we would be meeting in a future; Im surprised you remembered me after 10 years." He said...

I didn't know how to react, I just stared at him... What was he doing here?

" Can you leave me with her? " Giovani asked kindly to Killian.

Killian looked back at me for confirmation.

I nodded... If it was bad news... I don't think it could be worse than finding out that my mother had been dead all this time.

Killian hesitated before he started to walk to the door.

" Isn't the winner for the CEO auction today? " Giovani asked Killian.

Killian turned to look at me.

" Yeah... "

That explains why Nathaniel was at the airport...

" Then why are you here? " I asked.
