Shen Jianian couldn't deny feeling a twinge of disappointment upon hearing Yan Qiusheng's refusal, but she harbored no resentment towards him. Everyone has their own principles, and they should be respected.

Yan Qiusheng looked at the young girl in front of him, who had her head lowered, and said apologetically once again, "Sorry, I don't have the energy to teach an apprentice."

"You don't need to apologize. I'm already very happy to see you again," Shen Jianian said with a gentle smile, showing understanding.

"Mr. Yan, are you really not reconsidering?" Fu Jichen didn't look at him, but instead turned his gaze to the teacup in his hand.

Yan Qiusheng remained silent, his gaze scrutinizing, uncertain whether Mr. Fu's question was a threat or a consultation. His expression was inscrutable, as if hiding some calculation, inexplicably chilling.

Shen Jianian lightly covered Fu Jichen's hand with hers, and when he looked at her, she shook her head slightly and whispered, "Let it go."

Fu Jichen raised an eyebrow slightly, and his palm turned over to hold her fingers.

There was no reason to force someone to take on an apprentice. He didn't intend to push too hard, especially after seeing Yan Qiusheng. He was just accustomed to fighting for things as a businessman.

"Since Mr. Yan has no intention, then we'll take our leave today." Fu Jichen raised his teacup, made a gesture similar to a toast, and smiled faintly. "Thank you for your hospitality, the tea was good."

It was a farewell gesture, and Shen Jianian stood up upon hearing it.

A soft and warm female voice suddenly interjected, accompanied by a sigh. "Qiusheng, since they've come in person, it shows that they sincerely want you to be their teacher. Don't rush to refuse, why not consider it?"

The speaker was Yan Qiusheng's mother, who was in the open kitchen, washing a basket of freshly picked strawberries. She had heard some of the conversation in the living room and had her own considerations.

This semi-mountain villa had beautiful scenery and a quiet environment, making it a good place for recuperation. When Yan Qiusheng had bought it at a high price, it was to provide her with a secluded space for proper care.

The downside was that the transportation was not convenient enough. With few visitors throughout the year, besides the mother and son, there was only a nutritionist responsible for food and a part-time cleaner who came regularly to clean.

She hoped that someone could come to accompany her frequently, and also allow Qiusheng to have more contact with the outside world, instead of focusing all his attention on her, a dying person, which wasn't worthwhile.

Passing by Yan Qiusheng, his mother patted him on the shoulder, indicating her suggestion.

Shen Jianian, eating the sweet strawberries, felt a bit embarrassed. It seemed like she had put her idol in a difficult position...

Yan Qiusheng smiled helplessly. No matter how famous a person was, they still had to listen to their mother. After thinking for a moment, he stood up and said to Shen Jianian, "Come with me."

Shen Jianian blinked unexpectedly and glanced at Fu Jichen. He nodded slightly, indicating her to go.

She followed Yan Qiusheng to a room on the south side, pushing open the door to find various precious musical instruments displayed inside, including numerous Western and traditional instruments, among which cellos were the most abundant.

The room had good lighting, with a floor-to-ceiling glass window facing the entire wall. Sunlight poured in, shining on the floor and reflecting the silhouette of the instruments on the wall.
