WEEKEND ADVENTURES
Saturday the 7th of October
Dad taps his fingers on the steering wheel and frowns.
"Call me if you need me."
"I'll be fine." I smile.
"If he does something to hurt you, I'll break his legs off."
"You won't need to do that."
"I won't like it, but I'll do what needs to be done."
"Welp, thank you."
"Goodbye, Charlie."
"Bye, Dad."
I step outside the car and swing the bag over my shoulder.
Dad waves and once he's gone, I turn around and stare at Percy's house. My stomach churns, so I take a deep breath. The door opens and Percy pokes his head outside and smiles.
"Hi," he calls out as he races down the stairs.
"How are you?"
"I'm good." He nods.
His finger strokes my chin and I roll onto my toes to kiss him. He takes the bag and my hand and leads me into the house.
Percy places the bag beside the door and we walking into the lounge room and sit on the couch. My stomach knots and I suddenly feel nervous.
He kisses my cheek and trails down to my neck.
"I can't wait to have you."
"At least cook me dinner first."
"Dinner is so far away and I can't wait.""
"Percy." I roll my eyes.
I cup his cheek and bring his lips to mine. His hands trail across my skin while I tangle my fingers in his soft hair.
Someone coughs and Percy's hands tighten on my body. Noah is standing in the doorway with his arms crossed.
"What are you doing here?" Percy groans.
"I'm here to babysit you." Noah chuckles at Percy's dismay.
"Let's go swimming, the water is beautiful outside."
"Okay."
I take my bag and head to the downstairs bathroom. Once inside, I press my forehead against the door and take a deep breath.
When I come out, Noah is fixing himself a drink.
"Percy's upstairs."
His eyes trail down my body, so I cross my arms and frown.
