She woke up cold.

No shoes.

No hat.

No notebook.

No Sophia.

She did, however, wake up with mud and grass.

The dark pressed in on her from all sides.

Her head pounded ferociously.

River water clung to her clothes.

How did she get there?

She was with Sophia... and then...

And then she fell...

She fell into the river.

She hadn't even know it was there.

Her eyes were so.. so so very heavy.

Her limbs were stone.

She sat up slowly, whole body aching.

"Sophia!" She called quietly, scanning the river bank.

Maybe she was there to.

Maybe she fell to.

Maybe she was just asleep nearby.

Maybe the others had found her.

She was met with no response.

Guilt and worry clawed her insides.

Why did she let her fatigue get in the way of her protecting Sophia?

She was probably lost.

Scared.

Alone.

Trying to find her.

She couldn't have been out long; the sun was still down.

She tried to stand, find herself falling for the ground again.

It was her ankle.

It throbbed painfully, colored red.

Must've been hurt when she fell.

From the look of the blood trickling down, it was cut on a sharp rock.

"I'm coming, Sophia!" She whispered to herself as she attempted walking again. "I'm gonna bring ya home." Her ankle wobbled but did not fail her. She brought herself to her full height and stumbled the opposite direction of the flowing from the river.

Sophia didn't fall right?

The river had carried Diana away.

She didn't recognize any of the surroundings.

But then again she could only see so much in the dark.

So the best bet was to go up the river and try to find her or some clue there.

She started off on her journey, worry filling her thoughts.

"They went west." Daryl grumbled, standing on the river bank and shining the flashlight at their tracks. "Didn't ya tell 'em the right way ta go?"

Rick crossed his arms. "Of course I did. They must not've heard me right."

Daryl scoffed. "Great job ya did." He followed their footsteps, leading the two of them to a small camp fire. The light from it was faded but still flowed softly.
