MALAIKA

We may have our fights and bickering. I may not be a big fan of her being tomboyish. But she was still like my little sister, and the only girl in family. And she was fighting against death right now. I had seen her grow up into a gorgeous young lady, and the doctors said her life could end any moment now.

My phone rang, and I cut the call again. Nothing was more important that her right now.

“Pick my phone atleast.” Said my husband Arbaaz as he stood beside me outside the ICU. She was out of operation, but still critical and unstable.

“Sorry.” I mumbled out of habit.

“Look at this, guys.” He got his ipad out and logged onto twitter. Was he actually tweeting when his sister was in this condition?! I was about to blast off when he pointed at the Trending Topics.

Terror attack on schools

Were the five out of ten trending topics. Salman grabbed the ipad from Arbaaz and scrolled through the tweets. Millions of people- fans, super fans, non fans, celebrities, politicians, and power houses were tweeting and supporting the victims of the attacks. Especially Alisha, since she was the only person who was still critical. The others who were fighting were now safe or dead.

Oprah: I pray @BeingAlisha is safe soon. My thoughts go out to families and friends of people who lost their loved ones. RIP.

SKFans: We hope all the people, fans or no fans are safe. RIP to the victims of 6/26 Mumbai school attacks.
