Chapter 81

Nick's POV

Mallory and I were painting our house we were in what would be our room once the house was finished we had decided to do a dark blue for our room and Aurora's room was going to be purple. Aurora was in the other house playing with James Mallory and I had been painting since early this morning I pick up one of the paint brushes then run it down her arms she stops then looks at me grabs a brush then paints a line across my face then pulls away laughing. I roll my eyes then grab some paint and splatter it across her tank top and a few specks land on her face she looks at me "It's on cowboy." I run a brush down the front of her shirt she grabs mine then kisses me and wraps her arms around my neck. I pick her up and prop her against the wall that hasn't been painted then start kissing down her neck she takes off my hat then grabs my hair and bites down on my lip. I moan then run my hands down her waist and find the button on her shorts.

Brian's POV

Aaron and I walk outside to meet a buyer for our horses we knew what horses could and couldn't be sold the top two on the list were Diablo and Taz Mal had threatened our lives if we even thought about selling them her point was clearly made they were not for sale. Prince and our personal horses were off the list too if we kept Prince we knew he would bring in a lot of money later. Aaron and I show him around as he looks at the horses we had quite a few that we wanted to sell a little over twenty even though the ranch was doing well we could always use some more money to help around here he looks at several of the horses and checks them carefully we knew he wouldn't find a flaw. He buys six of our horses a blue roan, a buckskin, a grey, a paint, a red roan, and a chestnut he meets our asking price and gives extra for the quality of our horses.

Mallory's POV

After Nick and the guys put in hours of work and the two of us spend hours painting all of the rooms we are finally able to move in the house and everyone helps. Nick and Aaron bring in the couch while I start sorting out boxes I hear Howie behind me "I have a housewarming gift for you Mal." I turn around and see Howie holding a basket that contained my daughter and she's laughing I smile then take the basket from him then put it in the floor. We work on the house all day Ness, Stacey and Kayla help me take things out of boxes and put them away while all of the guys bring in the heavy things and throughout the day they keep having to return Aurora to the living room Howie and Nick more than the others finally at the end of the day everything is in the house Nick and I are officially moved in. He takes the picture of me, him and Aurora the day she was born then hangs it in the center of the wall this was our home.

Nick's POV

It's quiet in the house once Aurora goes to sleep it was nice but also very strange at the same time it felt different to be in a house with just the three of us. Mallory walks in the living room and sits on the couch with me she wraps her arms around me and lays her head on my shoulder I look down at notice her shirt was a tank top that she slept in and it was tight over her chest they looked bigger again I shake my head I was tired from the long day. She sighs "It's nice to have our own house not having to worry about waking up Aurora or anyone else." I feel my eyelids getting heavier "We can finally be alone." She hums in agreement then a few minutes later her breathing slows and I can tell that she's asleep I yawn then a few seconds later I fall asleep too.
