Chapter 85

Mallory's POV

I slip in the bathroom and shut the door behind me then pull one of the boxes from under the sink the smell of the soup had made me sick, my shirts were starting to get tight around my chest and I was late those weren't definite signs but I had a feeling I could be pregnant. I didn't tell Nick what I was feeling or that I was going to take another test I knew he really wanted another baby and I didn't want him to be disappointed in case this one was negative I take the test then put it in the sink and wait I was nervous about this plus I was worried that it would be negative I sigh and run my hands through my hair this was taking forever. The time goes off I take a deep breath then walk over and look down at the test and see two lines it was positive I was pregnant.

   

Group POV

Over the next few days snow begins falling we get three feet in the first few days with more on the way that morning we all get dressed then go outside. Aurora and James waddle around in the yard with their large coats on Mallory walks over tot e barn and a few minutes later she's leading Diablo and Taz out of the barn their black coats had gotten thicker for the cold we open the gate and let the horses burn off energy while we are outside. We help Aurora and James build their very first snowmen they both laugh when they go to put the faces on them we find some hats and scarves for the snowmen too we stay out for a while playing with the kids. Then the boys start making up some snowballs and begin having a huge snowball fight with each other days like today were the best ones.

Mallory's POV

It was Christmas Eve and Nick and I were spending it letting Aurora open her gifts I smile and watch her play with the paper and I remember how at this time last year I was pregnant with her and today marked one year of Nick proposing. Nick had another present for Aurora out in the barn that she would get in the morning he had bought her a pony a few days ago she finally gets interested in her toys and starts playing with a kitchen set that came with tiny pots and pans that was a gift from Kayla and Aaron, in her arms was a soft wolf toy she had gotten from Brian and Leigh Anne she was spoiled all of her uncles had got her really great gifts and Stacey had got her really pretty winter dresses. Nick and I sit down on the couch I pick up the gift I had for him he shakes it and starts opening it and I wait for his reaction.

Nick's POV

I open Mal's gift and look down in the tiny box there was a pregnancy test and an ultrasound picture I look up at her. "Are you pregnant?" She nods "We're having another baby." I smile then kiss her she kisses back I couldn't believe it we were having another baby her gift was better than anything I could ever give her I loved this gift though I couldn't believe it was real. I take her hand "How far are you?" She looks down at her stomach "Four months." I put my hand over hers "I love you." "I love you too cowboy." I pick up a tiny box then give it to her it was a charm bracelet with our birthstones and Aurora's in the middle. "It's beautiful thank you." "You're welcome." I take the bracelet then put it around her wrist this Christmas was perfect.

Stacey's POV

Tonight we were spending time with our own families we would all get together in the morning Howie was all over the place filled with excitement because our little girl was due any day now he wanted her to come tonight or tomorrow he said that she was the perfect Christmas present and that was all he wanted. James was in the floor playing with Kayla and opening his presents she was staying until he fell asleep so her and Aaron could have some time alone together tonight one of the gifts that James really enjoyed was a motorized truck that he could ride around in he had already ran over Howie two times and Ginger and Levi were out of sight to avoid being ran over themselves. Howie picks up one of the presents from under the tree then he walks over and sits down next to me. He hands me the small package then I start opening it.

Howie's POV

I wait for Stacey to open her gift it was a bracelet that I had engraved one side had the day we met and the other side said mi Amor she opens it then looks at me. "I love it Howie it's perfect." "I'm glad you like it." I take the bracelet then place it around her wrist then I kisses her she kisses back and looks at me "I love you Howie." "I love you too Stac." This year was a really great Christmas I couldn't believe how much things had changed since last year Stacey and I were engaged, I had a son, and Stacey was pregnant with our baby girl a lot of really big changes but they were good changes that had changed my life forever in an amazing way. I had a lot of great Christmas memories but this one was my favorite Christmas.
