Chapter 20 - Charity Gala Part 1

Justin's POV

I thought that it would be a nice idea for Eloise to have her sister-in-law there. I remember she mentioned it once over the last couple of days when I asked about her schedule for today.

I was getting ready but for the first time ever, I was struggling to put the bow tie on. The knot kept slipping through. To be fair this was the second time that I was putting on a bow tie by myself.

Then Eloise came and helped me, and she looked beautiful. When she told me about her dress, I wasn't expecting that. It surprised me and for the first time, I was speechless.

We had to go in separate cars because of the press and I apparently shouldn't have a woman coming out of the building and into the same car as me looking like that. Eloise had left 10 minutes before me so I thought now would be the perfect time to double check my speech. I went onto my iPad and noticed it was completely different to the one that I had written for the gala and to say I was unhappy was the least.

I decided to ring Eloise in the car to see if she knew.

"Hey Justin, is everything okay?" She seemed concerned.

"Probably nothing but did you change my speech?"

"No, I didn't even know. PR must still want that generic speech."

"All they're are going to do is cause a scene."

"I have an idea, but it might be a bit of a risk."

"Go on"

"what if I still had a copy of your speech and could send you that copy, and we don't tell PR." kind of bad a**

"I like that and your right they don't need to know especially if they didn't bother to inform us about the changes. Do me a favour and don't tell PR about this plan. Let them be surprised."

"okay, is it bad that I'm excited to see their reaction?"

I couldn't help but laugh "It's going to be priceless. See you later Eloise"

"Bye Justin" She said laughing.

I then messaged Ryan to make sure that he was leaving and was on time to the event.

Eloise's POV

Once I got off the phone with Justin, I couldn't help but laugh and Daniel was giving me a weird look.

"sorry but you'll find out later I promise."

"Okay. We are almost there Miss Taylor and just a heads-up Megan is looking for you." I nodded

I was not looking forward to Megan. She is going to have a fit during the time of the speech. This was going to be a good night.

We got to the venue and Daniel opened the door for me and a lot of flashes went off making it difficult for me to see. Then I noticed Daniel had his hand out for me and I grabbed it and he guided me to where I was meant to be.

"Thank you"

"not a problem, now I have to go and help Justin. He will be here in 10 minutes" I nodded, and Daniel headed off.

"Getting a piece of everyone are you?"

"excuse me"

"you heard." she said with a smirk.
