For those who don't know, an AU is an Alternative Universe. They're books that are technically still fanfictions, as they use the same characters, just set in a different time or place.

The walking dead fandom is common for 'High school AUs', and some are great, but others make me want to jump into the pits of hell singing 'Jesus take the wheel'.

For one, if you're writing an high school AU, you'd have to include all the walking dead characters, not just Daryl, Rick, Glenn, and Maggie. Duh huh, bitch, that isn't how it works. And I know the point of AUs is that they're in high school, but man, when they're all in the same god damn year is pisses me off.

Better yet, Maggie is the stereotypical bad bitch who owns Glenn, Daryl is the loner druggie, Rick and Shane are the best friends who run the school, Carol is the sexy one, and Michonne isn't even there because nobody gives a shit ffs.,

But of cOURSE MAKE ROOM FOR TIFFANY. She's the one who saves Glenn, saves Daryl, saves Rick from Shane I guess? I don't know, but this is school, not criminal minds.
