I am sorry for the long absence but I was on holiday in Australia. I was also sick and back at Uni so requests are still closed, one shots might be few for a while. Anyway on another note, I had an amazing time on my holiday, I saw the whales (which this is based on) it was an amazing holiday. The next few one shots will be based around what I did as they were amazing, and make amazing stories. Thank you for your patience and thank you for reading my works it means a lot. You and Emily finally, finally got a break. You had two weeks off, and the pair of you decided to do a bit of traveling. There were several stop overs due to the places you had chosen, you were going to Italy first then Australia. You had enjoyed authentic Italian food, stopped over in a few places in the middle. Now you were in Australia, more specifically the Gold Coast. You were here for Australia Zoo to see the animals you wouldn't really see anywhere else and to see the whales off the coast. Today was your last day, you were seeing the whales in the morning and flying out in the afternoon for the long, long, flight back home. You were standing on the deck, leaning on the railing watching the blue waves ripple along. Emily came over and handed you a coffee and your boarding pass. You grinned at her the sun filtering through her hair making it look blue rather black. She kissed your shoulder and leaned against you, using your heat against the cold wind that blew towards you.

After the usual safety briefing, and boarding. The pair of you sat on the lower level, not waiting to get seasick. You waited to get there. When you were able to, Emily led you outside to railings in order to watch for the whales. The captain called out that he could see two off the side of the boat. The pair of you watched as they completed pectoral fin slapping which was when they raised their 'flippers' out of the water as a way to cool off and slapped them on the top of the surf. They raised themselves to breathe. You watched these whales for a bit until they dove deeper into the water, one's tail raising out of the water. The boat waited around for a bit, until one of the rest of the crew saw another two whales. You watched these whales, came up for air swim along for a bit before it was time to leave. You and Emily made your way back inside, to sit down and watch the water sparkle in the sun. You laughed at Emily's windswept hair. The black stands tangled down her back. There was a call about purchasing photographs, you purchased the one of you and Emily that had been taken when you had boarded the boat, as well as the one of the whale's tail. Arriving back, you got off the boat, thanking the crew and walked towards the car you had rented. "That was amazing! Seriously! Did you see the tail...and the fins? It was the best thing ever." You gushed as you drove back towards your hotel to pick up your bags. Emily laughed, "It was great."

"Totally rubbing in at work though." She laughed, and you dangled the whale charm you had gotten for Garcia. "Think Penelope would like it?" Emily nodded. "She'll love it." The pair of you silently recapped over the holiday as you drove back to the airport after picking up your bags. You had both loved this holiday, the break and how you were able to walk away from the death you saw on a daily basis. You loved this break, and to see this lighter side of Emily. You grinned to yourself, loving how you were now going home to see the people you loved.
