"Hello, Jaesung," a woman with honey brown hair greeted with a soft smile.

Jaesung stared at her, not liking how she looked like his mother from how short her hair was all the way to the way she dressed. It unsettled him.

The eight year old didn't say anything but instead looked back at the door Yoongi had walked him through. His heart stopped to see that Yoongi hadn't followed him in and it was only just him and this woman.

"I'm Dr. Yoon," the woman continued, already noticing how comfortable the young boy was becoming, "can i call you Jae?"

Jaesung didn't answer and just kept staring at the door. Had Yoongi left him? Tears stung the back of his eyes at the thought of his daddy leaving him with some stranger. Deep down, he knew Yoongi wouldn't do that but he couldn't help but think that that option was still on the table. He has heard Hoseok and Yoongi talking about having more kids and he couldn't help but think that Yoongi was growing tired of him.

Tired of him acting the way he did.

Tired of him not being a normal kid and doing normal kid things.

Maybe Jaesung was better off staying with Seungyeon and Minho where he was neglected. No one paid attention to him which meant no one could get tired of him.

It makes sense, to him, Yoongi has been paying too much attention to Jaesung. He's been worrying too much and now he's grown tired. But Seungyeon....she hadn't paid that much attention to the young boy which meant she wouldn't grow tired of him even though she barely acknowledged his presence.

He turned back around on the chair he was sitting on and glanced at the clock. It read 3:30pm and Yoongi said that he'd be here for an hour. So at 4:30pm he'd be able to leave.

Jaesung placed his hands in his lap and began to count in his head.

"Jae, sweetie, you're gonna have to talk to me," Dr. Yoon said, "I just want to be your friend, okay? I want to know some things about you and you'll get to know some things about me. Sound like a deal?"

Jaesung frowned at the word 'friend'.

Ever since he told Haneul to never talk to him again, he hasn't had anyone to call a 'friend.' He hadn't exactly expected Haneul to take his words to heart and leave him alone but when the slightly younger male completely disregarded him, Jaesung knew their friendship was over. Haneul stopped hanging around him and started playing with Eleven. Eleven had tried talking to him sometimes but after he realized that Jaesung wasn't going to talk to him, he stopped.

Then he became friendless which was weird for a first grader, normally first graders are friends with everyone.

But Jaeung was weird.

And he stayed the weird kid all the way until now. Now he was going to third grade and he'd still be the weird kid. The kid that doesn't talk during class. The kid that doesn't laugh at the jokes. The kid that sleeps during lunch because he never brings anything eat. The kid that colours all his pictures black, gray or doesn't colour them at all because the other boys broke his other crayons.

But that's okay, he didn't want it any other way. He'd rather be a social outcast than to have to worry about being someone's friend. Especially someone Haneul, he hated how he easily slid into someone's friend group and became instant friends with him. He envied how the boy easily socialized with everyone, even the kids in the older grades.

Jaesung honestly didn't understand why he was ever friends with that boy in thre first place.

"So what's your favourite colour, Jaesung?" Dr. Yoon asked.
