The attic looked completely different compared to its state at lunch. The windows were clean, letting the bright sunlight into the airy room. There was plenty of storage space without the heavy curtains, which, in Hermione's opinion, should now be used for books.
Setting the box carefully down into the middle of the room, Mioha stepped back a few steps. The baby nifflers seemed desperate to get out, judging by the dents and bulges they were punching into the lid.

"Does anybody know some kind of spell that would keep the nifflers in this room?", asked Mioha.

"Well, the problem is that they can get through the tiniest cracks", said Hermione thoughtfully.
"We'll have to use a spell that puts a seal around the entire attic."

"Good thing we can do magic outside of Hogwarts now", the twins said at the same time and grinned mischievously.
They whipped out their wands at the same time and said loud and clearly: "Orbis Caverus", pointing their wands away from them in a 90 degrees angle, before slowly turning in a circle.
A weak red light started flowing out of their wands and sticking to the walls. Soon, all walls, plus the floor and the ceiling were covered in it.

"Nice work", Mioha nodded approvingly and kneeled down.

"Thanks", George grinned.

Mioha slowly grabbed the edges of the lid, which was shaking violently from the babies inside, and swiftly pulled it up.
Four blurry fur balls shot out of the box, past Mioha and zoomed across the room.

"We're free!", a voice squeaked.

"I'm hungry!", another exclaimed.

The baby nifflers shot around the room, bouncing off the walls as they tried to find an exit.

"Whoa!", Ron gasped when one started pulling on the watch on his wrist. "Knock it off!"

"Hey!", Hermione cried out when another got entangled in her hair.

Fred and George were shooting stunners at the nifflers, but the spells harmlessly bounced off the walls since the little creatures were too fast.

"Gimme back my glasses!", yelled Harry, squinting through the room when a fur ball yanked his glasses off his nose.

"Where's the door?", a niffler squeaked and slowed down enough so Mioha could see it had blue-grayish fur, big blue eyes and a tiny flat snout.

"Let us out!", a black niffler shouted.

"I'm hungry!", said the one in Hermione's hair. Its fur was a mixture of red and white, and it looked very plump.

Mioha slowly raised her hands. Yellow beams of light shot out of her hands, hitting the first three nifflers. They immediately started floating upward, their tiny legs moving fast as they tried to run away.

"Wheeee!", the big one shouted gleefully, doing a summersault in slow-motion.

"Where's the fourth?", asked Hermione, rubbing her aching head.

Ron let out a shriek when he felt something crawl up his back.
"It's a spider!", he yelled and started hopping around the room. "Get it off!"

With a flick of her hand, Mioha detached the baby niffler from Ron's back and let it float up to its siblings.
It shot her an angry glare, which looked pretty cute. Its fur was red, white and black at the same time, making it look like a mixture of its siblings. And on its head it wore Harry's glasses, which made its eyes seem huge. They blinked rapidly as the niffler tried to see something.

"What are your names?", Mioha asked, watching amused how the four baby nifflers started "swimming" across the room. She plucked the glasses of the colorful niffler and handed them back to Harry, who shoved them onto his nose and held them there with his hands.

"Who're you?", the blue one demanded, wiggling its butt so it could get to Mioha's face. "Where are we?"

"What are they saying?", asked Ginny curiously.

"They want to know where they are", said Mioha before she answered the niffler: "I'm Mioha, these are Ron, Harry, Ginny, Hermione, Fred and George", she pointed at her friends, "and you will be staying with us so we can take care of you."

"Where's the big dude?", asked the little black one.

"Hagrid? He told us to take care of you guys", Mioha explained gently. "What are your names?"

"I'm Debs", said the blue one, narrowing her eyes at Mioha. "I'm the oldest, which makes me the boss."

"That's not fair!", the black one protested with a sullen expression on its face. "Just because you are our older sister doesn't mean you're the boss."

"That's Rips", said Debs, sticking her nose into the air. "And I am too the boss."

"It's not Rips!", the other cried out, "my name is Rest-In-Pieces!"

Debs rolled her big blue eyes.
"It isn't. He's making it up."

"That is Debs", Mioha quickly told the Gryffindors, who stared at the nifflers with blank expressions.
"And Rips is her brother."

"Rest-In-Pieces!", the black one corrected her, slowly turning upside down in midair.

"He calls himself Rest-In-Pieces", Mioha added to calm the niffler down.

Ginny sniggered.
"Rest-In-Pieces?"

"Hey!"
Rips floated towards Ginny, his face scrunched up angrily. "I bet your name isn't as cool as mine. What is it again?"

"This is Bops", Debs continued, pointing her flat paw at the big red and white one. "He's always hungry."

"I can't help it", said Bops sadly, rubbing his little tummy. "I need food."

"And I'm Topsy-Turvy!", the fourth one, who had stolen Harry's glasses, said gleefully, "but everyone calls me Tops."

"These are Bops and Topsy-Turvy, also known as Tops", Mioha translated for her friends.

Hermione had to smile as she watched the baby nifflers float through the air. Bops made swimming movements to get to Hermione, before he settled back down in her hair.

"I'll bring you guys some food", Mioha promised and turned towards the twins.
"Could you conjure some plants and rocks in here for the nifflers? I'll get some food for them."

"Uhm... Mioha?", Ginny asked nervously, leaning backwards when Rips continued squeaking into her face. "What's he saying?"

Mioha snorted.
"You don't want to know."
