"So, your idea didn't work", said Draco

"So, your idea didn't work", said Draco.

"No."

"I had assumed it would. It would have been logical if it would have."

"Hm."

They were sitting on the couch in the Slytherin common room, which was empty besides the two of them.

It was late.

Or actually, it was early.

Mioha had returned to her dorm at three in the morning, only to find Draco awake and practicing wandless magic in their common room.

"So, what now?"

"I don't know", Mioha admitted. "Honestly, I really thought it would work, but now I'm running out of ideas. And I think the other Order members are too."

Her face got a thoughtful look.

"What?", asked Draco and raised an eyebrow. "Not another crazy idea?"

Mioha rolled her eyes.
"They're not all crazy. No, I was just thinking...when Professor Dumbledore had checked on Nanrek and Octo the first time, it seemed like the Titans had told him something important that he didn't tell me. And I'd like to know what it is. But now, I cannot ask neither Nanrek nor Octo because...it's too late."
She sighed.

Draco watched her carefully.
"Maybe it was about you."

"Me?", said Mioha surprised. "Why?"

"I don't know."
Draco returned to the silver needle laying in front of him on the small table and once again used wandless magic to turn it into a match.
"Just something about what my uncle said a while ago."

When Mioha shot him a confused look, he clarified: "Professor Snape."

"Ah. What did he say?"

"Only that you were more important than people think."

Mioha raised an eyebrow.
"Okayyy. What does he mean by that?"

The needle got red and white and widened a little, until it had changed its shape into a match.
"I have no idea", Draco answered nonchalantly, transfiguring the match back into a needle.

Mioha yawned, feeling her eyelids drooping.
She would have to think this over after a few hours of sleep. Her brain felt like it had shrunken to the size of a walnut.

"I think I'm heading to bed", she said tiredly and stood up.
"See you tomorrow. Or actually, later, I guess."

Mioha turned and walked past the couches towards her broom.

"Mioha."

"Hm?"
She turned around.

Draco seemed to struggle with getting the words out, then he looked firmly into her eyes.
"I'm sorry."
