✊Bookworms Unite✊

The girls met up with me at the junkyard at 6:00.

When all the girls saw all the books, they were all shocked.

"Can we be paid to read for the rest of our lives?" Gina asks.

The rest of us laugh.

"They say that reading is dreaming with open eyes." Gina said.

We fan off Gina.

"Iced tea or lemonade?" I ask.

Everyone nodded for a drink.

💭I guess no one cares about what they were going to get.💭

I gave everyone a drink.

"Are we the lonely hearts club forever?" Kinsley asks.

"No." I said. "We're not."

"Things are getting better." Luna said.

"This maybe the end of that club." Lily said.

"It was fun while it lasted." Kinsley said.

We all took our drinks to the yard.

Then we look into all of these books.

"I found a copy of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants." Penelope said. "I'll take it."

"Here's the second one." Lily says as she hands The Second Summer of the Sisterhood.

I found this book called Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen.

"Dibs." I say as I raise the book up and then put it behind me.

"The Earth, My Butt and Other Big Round Things." Luna said.

"I read that book in freshman year." I said. "It's good Luna, you should read it."

"In that case dibs." Luna said as she put the book behind her.

"I found a Lauren Myracle book." Lily squeals. "Kissing Kate. Dibs." Lily puts the book behind her.

"Victoria would love this." Laylal tells me. "Dead Girls Don't Write Letters by Gail Giles."

"Yeah." I said. "It gives me chills just listening to the title. Save that for Victoria."

"Okay." Laylal said. "Now something for Olivia."

"Then something for you." I said to Layal.

Laylal chuckles.

"The Cheat." Kinsley said. "Sounds scandalous. Dibs."

Kinsley puts the book behind her.

"Found something for Olivia." Laylal tells me. "Becoming Ruby."

"Good now find something for yourself to read on the plane." I tell Laylal.

I find another book that catches my eye. The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen.

"Dibs." I say as I hold the book up the put that book on top of the first book I claimed.

"I found two books by the same guy." Laylal said. "Boy Meets Boy and The Realm of Possibility. Both by David Levithan. Dibs."

Laylal gets up and puts the all the books she got, along with the books she got for Olivia and Victoria, next to her iced tea.

"I found ten copies of the same book." Penelope said. "Luna. I read the blurb and it's good." Penelope hands us the book.
