Scene: Inside City Hall. Paris' interim mayor, Marinette, is in the middle of an interview.

Marinette: Starting today, super-offenders Monarch, Coccinelle and Chat Noir are outlawed.
Nadja: But... will this last long?
Marinette: Of course.
Cerise: (through Marinette's earpiece) No, of course not!
Marinette: Uh— of course not. We'll be holding a democratic election; I will speak later in a meeting.

Scene: On the rooftops, Coccinelle and Chat Noir watch Marinette's interview on Coccinelle's Bugphone.

Marinette: (from the broadcast) In the meantime, my new robots will be upholding Marinette's law in Paris.
(The Tsurugi robots that are under Marinette's control are seen roaming around the streets of Paris)
Chat Noir: Shall we go?
Coccinelle: We can't do that.
Chat Noir: Of course, we can! We have to! We can't let Marinette make up the rules. She's literally insane!
Coccinelle: If she were akumatized, it'd be easy. Find the object, break it, de-evilize her.
Chat Noir: But there is no object, and we can't attack someone who isn't akumatized, or we'd look like the supervillains.
Coccinelle: Surely someone will handle the situation.
Chat Noir: You're right. Adults, an authority figure.
Coccinelle: And we carry on playing our role: fighting Monarch.
(Coccinelle and Chat Noir share a worried look before heading off)

Scene: The Liberty. Coccinelle swings in through the window and de-transforms.

Coccinelle: (off-screen) Spots off!
(After de-transforming into Luka, he feeds Tikki a cookie. He then opens his computer to watch the news. Several Parisians are being interviewed from the broadcast)
Young Woman: Finally, someone young, like us, representing us!
Ticket Inspector: Superheroes are useless anyway. They've never been able to stop Monarch. And who knows? Maybe it's because they've been on his side the whole time!
Woman 1: A teenager at City Hall? That's absurd! She'd do a better job in cleaning her room!

Scene: The Agreste mansion, in Adrien's room. Adrien looks at a photo of Luka on his phone.

Plagg: Come on, be brave! Holding on to bad news can be like cheese. If you wait too long, it gets stinkier. (He eats a piece of camembert)
Adrien: But I'm hoping I'll find a way to convince my father not to send me to London.
Plagg: Luka is the most amazing guy in the whole universe. You love him and you trust him, don't you?
Adrien: Yes.
Plagg: Then ask him for help. Maybe he'll find the solution you're talking about.
(Adrien's phone rings, showing a call coming from Luka)
Plagg: It's a sign!
Adrien: You're right! Now's the right time! (He answers the call) Luka, I—
Luka: (on-call) Have you watched the news?
Adrien: Huh? (He grabs the remote and turns on his TV)
Man 1: (from the broadcast) She can't be worse than the old mayor.
Man 2: (from the broadcast) Besides, it won't be for long anyway. She said there'll be a democratic election.
Adrien: Don't worry, Luka. This won't last long. Someone's bound to do something. I need to tell you—
Luka: (on-call) We gotta do something; we can't just sit around while she wreaks havoc! I'm going to call everyone. We'll figure out something together. (He hangs up)
(Adrien lets out a frustrated sigh)
Adrien: It'll be the right time another time.

Scene: Le Grand Paris, in the hotel's restaurant. Marinette navigates the Tsurugi police robots with the briefcase containing the controls. She is sitting alongside Audrey, Gabriel, and Tomoe at a table.

Tomoe: Is Ms. Marinette satisfied with the police robots we provided to City Hall?
Marinette: Yes, very! They're a lot of fun! (She commands a robot to bump into Armand, taking the glasses of juice on a tray from his hand) These robots are much more competent than you. (She grabs a glass of juice from the same tray)
Audrey: Seems I was wrong about you Marinette; you are exceptional! So much unlike my daughter, Chlorine, who's been so disappointing lately!
Gabriel: It hasn't been a day since you replaced Mr. Bourgeois and everything is already resolved. Coccinelle, Chat Noir, Monarch, all the super-offenders, as you call them, have disappeared.
Marinette: Yes, well... It's not like it was difficult.
(The camera zooms in on Marinette's Alliance, which is seen with a red light blinking)
