What You Want: Part 5

Danny and I had met up at the town fountain in our human forms I had told Danny that there was no way I'd let him face Desiree alone and there was nothing he could do about it. "If you're trying to snag a wishing ghost, what better place than a wishing well?" Danny asked as he flipped a coin into the fountain. A few seconds passed when I heard Danny mutter "Dang it." Danny began to walk away as I trailed after him confused. 

"Danny, did you make a wish? You can't just throw a coin and expect her to come you need to-" I was cut off when I heard Desiree's voice; when I turned around I saw a green cloud of smoke around some guy. "So it is desired, so shall it be." I immediately started tugging on Danny's sleeve so he could see what was going on.

Danny frowned when he saw Desiree and grabbed my hand as we started running away. "What are you doing?!" I shouted as Danny ushered my up a tree. "Keeping you safe, stay here." Was all Danny said to me before running off. "He's so sweet trying to protect me." I quickly said swooning before going ghost and fly over to the well to see Danny in phantom form, keeping the citizen who made a wish safe from Desiree.

"Oh no, you don't!" Danny shouted ushering the guy to run away. "Young intruders, you dare to interfere with my spellbinding?!" "Listen here Desiree we want you to take away Tucker's ghost powers pronto!" I tell Desiree angrily, landing next to Danny. "I cannot, by noon tomorrow your friend's fate will be sealed. His jealousy will transform him forever into the most powerful ghost child in the world!" Desiree said maniacally laughing while Danny and I look at each other in worry. "Tuck?! He's not that jealous...is he?" Danny asked before Desiree answered him. "More than you know, tomorrow his jealousy and frustration will cement into rage and rebellion. He'll be complete." Out of frustration, we grab Desiree before she could fly away and I say "I get it we have powers and do awesome things while he covers for us. His jealousy is understandable but that gives you no right to use that against him!"

I shouted at Desiree when Danny chimed in "Yeah! So you change him back!" Desiree turned to us with an angry expression as she stated "You dare lay a hand on me?! Nobody may lay a hand on me unless I wish it!" "Oh yeah? How about a fist?" 

Danny asked as he tried to punch Desiree but she had moved out of the way. Desiree turned her arm into a rope lassoing Danny and throwing him into a bench before racing to hit him again. With my quick wits, I jump in front of Danny and send a big energy blast at Desiree shouting "Get back!" Desiree was knocked to the other side of the fountain before enlarging her hand, grabbing me and pounding me to the ground while I struggled to get out.

 "Danny, help! I can't break free, can't go intangible and escape!" "You can't do anything unless I wish it." Desiree stated as Danny walked up with the Fenton Thermos as he told her "Or I do! I wish you'd disappear inside this thermos!" Danny opened the lid and pointed the thermos at Desiree as she shouted before being sucked in "What?! No! I...must obey. You will pay for this! PAY!" 

"You know if I was a C student I woulda thought of that five days ago," Danny muttered as he capped the thermos and helped me up. "Hey, you okay (s/n)?" Danny asked. "Yeah, thanks to you," I mumbled a bit with a slight crimson blush appearing on my face. Soon Danny's face began to turn a slight shade of crimson too.

"I mean it was the least I could do after you helped me back there," Danny told me with a small smile. Grabbing Danny's hand I ask before flying us to the school "Well I do work with you and what good would you be if you were hurt or worse? Now to find Tuck." We were flying around the school, searching for Tuck when we met in front of the school records room.

"Quarter till noon and no sign of Tucker," Danny stated when our ghost senses went off and we looked at the school records sign above the door. "Should've guessed." We said in unison before phasing through the door in time to see Tucker changing his grades to straight As. "Tucker you're changing your grades?! That's cheating!" Danny shouted at Tucker as he turned to face us and say "I like to think of it as academic enrichment. Want me to do yours? I would do yours (s/n) but since I don't know your identity..." Tucker trailed off.

Stepping towards Tuck I say "No way! Listen, Tuck, you're in real danger-take it easy we're friends remember?' At this point Tucker began to look like a green goblin and Danny had stepped in front of me, to keep Tuck away from me as Tuck told us "We're only friends on your terms but now I make the rules around here and my first rule is: No more Danny Phantom OR (s/n)!"
