The Other Halfa Danny Phantom: The series

Maternal Instincts: Part 5

"Wow, that doesn't hurt." We mumble to ourselves as Maddie let go and we watch as dad throws a rope over the bear, catching it by its feet, exclaiming to us before he and Maddie hopped down "Be right back." Dad began tying the rope to the tree before they both turned their attention back to the others. Pressing the button on their belts, the mud shattered off of them as they got into a fighting position Maddie stating "C'mon, dazzle us." 

The wolf hybrid stepped up first and Maddie jumped up doing a somersault on a branch, kicking the wolf away in the process. She jumped of the branch and dad ran up as she tossed him what looked to be a two sided light saber before pulling one out for herself.

"How could she not have a phone in there?" Danny asks and I shrug stating "I don't know but we're getting her one when we get back." Our parents raced towards the rest of the hybrids as they both started whacking them and the hybrids slowly started to disapear as dad jumped over the moose and thwacked it and Maddie used the laser beams, built in her googles to take care of the rabbits.

Three more jumped up as our parent simply said "Boo." And they remaining hybrids ran away as we slid down the trunk of the tree as Maddie tells us "Now young man and lady, you mind telling us what you thought you were doing?" "You two are AWESOME!" Danny exclaims as we hug our parents in pure gratitute. "Aw honey, thank you." Our parents said, hugging us back, Maddie squishing a small leftover hybrid with the end of her stick. "But we better start moving in case those ghosts come back." Dad pointed out as they started to move again, Danny grabbing my hand as we chased after them, him yelling "Wait for us!" 

Minutes had past when I finally spoke up "I uh...I think we gave those ghost animals the slip. Shouldn't we figure out a way to call Mom or Mr. Fenton?" "As much as I hate to say this, I think we should go back to Vlad's." Maddie said, anger and hatred dripping through her words.

"But he's my archenemy-I mean he said all those horrible things about Dad and Mrs. (l/n)." Danny pointed out as Maddie continued. "We all know he's a creep, but he's a creep with a phone and transportaion...and pancakes."

An idea sparked in dad and soon Maddie followed suit, as they took off their Spector Deflectors and put them on us as dad said "Here, put this on." They locked the belt so we couldn't take it off but before we could say a word Maddie said "I know it's girly but it's for your own protection." "And (y/n) I know it's not your style but like Maddie said it's for your own protection." Dad chimed in as they started making their way to Vlad's. "Great, at midnight I get my powers back, at 12:01 the belt zaps me and at 12:02 Vlad tries to makeout with my Mom." Danny mumbled and I chimed into that statement quietly.

 "And then at 12:03, Vlad reminisces about the 'good old days' with Dad; those are gonna be the worst three minutes of our lives." Jazz was in her parent's closet trying on one of her mother's hazmat suits when Jack walked in calling for her. "Jazz honey, I-Maddie! Your home!" "Dad, it's me: Jazz." "Jazz? Why look at ya, you're the spitting image of your mother."

Jack starts to sniffle as a tear escapes his eye; he races towards the closet and pulls out an orange jumpsuit that was his size as he explained "I knew this day would come and that's why years ago I had this made for you...Um sorry about the size, I thought you'd be swimming in my side of the gene pool, the end that's filled with ranch dressing, melted cheese and fudge, lots and lots of fudge."

"Look, this is just a socialogical experiment. I figure I owe it to myself to experiance all this ghost stuff one time, so I can hate in a more informed context." Jazz told Jack and he told her with a confused look:

"I don't know what your saying sweetheart but I do know that ghost fighting is in your blood." "No way! I am not like you and Mom, I'm a brilliant reasonable, sophisticated girl." Jazz said defensivly as she crossed her arms and Jack chimed in with "In a blue hazmat suit." "In a blue-GAH! Quit messing with me! No more talk about ghost fighting ok?" Suddenly more hybrids appeared as they phased through the walls as the two got into a fighting positon. "No talk, ACTION!" We were aproaching Vlad's place when Danny looked at his watch, which read 11:50. 

"Oh great, ten to twelve, are you sure you wanna do this?" Danny asked our parents as Maddie told us " Danny if we're gonna get out of here, we need Vlad's help." We eye the keys attached to our parents and stop them in their tracks before they could knock. "But before you go in there and flirt our way out of here, I just wanna say...I love you!" Danny hugs his mom as he grabs the key, hiding it behind his back. Hugging dad and grabbing the key he has, I tell him "And I'm sorry I've been acting a bit distant, I've just been busy with school and...extracurricular activities."

 I mean it was mostly true, school has been keeping me busy and ghost fighting can count as extracurricular, right? "I love you too, clingy." They say as the hug us back and then knock on the door as Vlad answers.
