Bitter Reunions: Part 5

It was the night of the college reunion and Danny and I were looking for Jazz; walking into the screening room we spot Jazz as I ask "Jazz aren't you coming to the reunion?" Jazz scoffs as she tells us "What? And watch a bunch of old fossils pogo to the new way of music? Pass, did you know the Packers won the very first Super Bowl?" "Whatever,"  Danny said as we made our way to the party room. Jack was looking around when he noticed an old classmate and shouted "Hey, Harry!" I chuckle as we make our way over and I watch her spit out her food stating "Ugh, I'd know that voice any where. Jack, Maddie, (m/n), (d/n), how nice." Gesturing towards Harriot Jack introduced her.

"Danny, (y/n) meet Harriot Chin. She's a big shot reporter for the Walocki Journal now, but back in my college day,s she was just Harry...Harry Chin. Ha, ha get it?!" "I'm really sorry Harriot." Maddie apologized causing Harriot to say "Sweetie, you married him, you should be." Suddenly a funky song started to play and Jack dragged his wife onto the dance floor shouting.

"Hey, my song! C'mon, let's pogo!" We watched as our parents headed for the dance floor as Danny told me "Okay I'm officially mortified." "Me too." I said nodding in agreement. Harriot walked up to us and asked as she watched our parents "What took so long?" It had been awhile since the party started and Danny was bored, sitting at a table while I was hiding trying to calm myself down. 

"Calm down (y/n), it's just Danny your best friend; who is also the person you have a gigantic crush on. He'll say yes, just go over there and ask him to dance. It's not the first time you've danced with him; here goes nothing." 

I made my way over to Danny but Vlad had beaten me to him and I couldn't help but listen in. "Well son, your looking much better. I was wondering if you could do me a huge favor."

"Oh sure Mr. Masters but call me Danny uh son is what my Dad calls me." Danny said sitting up. "Yes, yes of course; now could you go to my lab? Second door on the right upstairs; there's a present up there for your father that I'd like you to bring down."

Vlad said as Danny got up telling him "Okay." I began to glare at Vlad in suspicion as he eyed Danny's mom muttering " Maddie, that lab accident cost me, my youthful chance at you but that's all about to change." Danny walked into the lab searching for the present but couldn't find it as he stated "Present? I don't see a present." Danny then noticed a ripped picture as he pulled out the ripped pictures of our parents and put them back in the picture connecting the dots as he said "Hey wait a minute. Oh no, no way." Suddenly his senses went off and he went ghost before being lifted in the air by the Octo-ghosts. "Let go!" He shouted kicking one away and slamming the other into the floor. "Those ghosts...they were the two of the ghosts I first fought." "And their not alone, Pup!" Skulker shouted, shooting a net at Danny and shocking him with it. As Danny burst through the net and kicked Skulker he asked "Skulker?! How did you get back your ecto-skeleton? What are you doing here?"

"All excellent questions. Catch!" Skulker said throwing a cube in front of Danny. But it was a trap, soon it began to form around Danny's body trapping him as he questioned it. "Hey, I can't phase out of this; it's disrupting my powers." Skulker went to press a button on his wrist as he told Danny "That's not all it does."

The box began shocking Danny as Skulker walked over and pulled his head up after the shock ended and Danny reverted back to normal. A blade was administered as Danny complimented the blade in a panic. "Uh the glowing blade is new." "You like it? I had some upgrades. Now-"

Skulker got excited for a moment before threating Danny again when Vlad intervened. "Enough! I didn't free you to kill the boy Skulker! Wait where's the girl?" "I don't know, she didn't come along with him but here's an extra cube you can use that will immediately shock her when she shows up." Skulker said tossing another cube over to Vlad. " Thanks, your work is done." "Yes, well I...gotta go to the library and check out a book on a gorilla. Again!" Skulker stated flying away. 

"Skulker? The Ecto-puses? I don't understand." Danny questions Vlad, who gets annoyed. "Of course not! Your what 14? To young to drive and not in college yet? I sent those ghosts and others to test your father's skills. Imagine my surprise when I find you and your girlfriend; the second and third ghost hybrids his foolishness created." 

First off (s/n) isn't my girlfriend, second: Second and third?" Danny questions as Vlad turns into the ghost for earlier this morning to Danny's shock. "You! I'm going ghost!" Danny shouts as he tries to go ghost but fails to do so. He tries again "Going ghost! Why can't I go ghost?"  Vlad chuckles as he states "You have a battle cry, hilarious. I on the other hand have -" It had been awhile since Danny left and I grew suspicious, so I went to the lab to find the ghost from earlier had trapped Danny.
